Good Morning, Beloved.That is how my father greeted every congregation every Sunday morning, when he stood up in the pulpit.My father who is a giant in the A.M.E. Zion Church, one of its best preachers ever – ask ANYONE – has taken his last breath here on earth.My Dad and I shared the greatest love story I’ve ever known.My heart is broken into a million pieces. How do you feel so much pain, along with so much joy, that all suffering is over simultaneously at the same time?I am grateful for the best unconditional love, all of the Michael Jackson concerts he took me to -- and the happiest day of my life when he put me, my mother and my Grandparents on the Amtrak to see Dreamgirls on Broadway. 😊I am grateful for the laughter. The busting out loud never-ending laughter. And the wonder, so much wonder he sprinkled into my life.I look back on all the visiting the sick he did, all the young minsters he mentored, all the weddings, all the funerals and all the counseling.I am grateful for the lessons on the Lord, who I pray sustains me through this.There is nothing like walking on this earth with a father who has your back, confesses his love for you constantly and wholeheartedly believes in you because you are – you.I am not sure how to navigate this life without him.Please pray for me.Link in Bio and below.The Rev. I've known @malcolmjamalwar since High School. He was such an amazing person. I remember most the bond he had with his amazing Mom and his love for his music. I am praying for comfort for his Mother, Wife, Daughter and his entire Family.
