The canvas can do miracles
Every year I see
I felt down but I’m now up
It has finally caught me

My love,

Year by year I distanced myself from you. Because I did not want to feel the pain. I cared less and less until I thought to myself what am I doing here?
I could not answer this question. The only thing I knew is that you turned into hate and that I needed to get out of of there.
So I left. Quietly. I’m done. It was empowering to choose my own direction. Since a long time I listened to myself again.
My perspective changed after I left. There is love to be found everywhere. Not exclusively by you. By stepping out of my old life I could feel it again. Friends, family and strangers. They all helped me make up the bigger picture again. I don’t need to do anything. Just listen to what you want.
And after a few months I could listen again and realized I’m not done with you. Not like this.
So here I am in a new city reconnecting with you. Who knows I’ll find you again. The most important thing is that I’m exactly where I want to be right now.
See you when I see you.
