“Lead by example” is a phrase I use often when talking with my children. KHALISAH GREEN, the bar you set for your friends and family is so high! I hope you truly grasp what you did on that stage! Your first time walking out will forever be seared into my mind. The confidence was beaming off of you and every fear I had went straight out the window. You are a SUPERSTAR! I don’t know what I enjoyed more, the show or watching your loved ones walk out at intermission with watery eyes because they were so impressed and proud of you 🥹! You shine like the top of the Chrysler Building!!
To: your siblings who went along for the ride and never complained when they had to do homework in the car or eat dinner on the road THANK YOU. She couldn’t have done this without you and your support!! This was a family decision from the start and you all held up your end.
TO: aurora.theatre staff from the bottom of my heart thank you for helping make every transition from auditions, rehearsal, and to shows as smooth as possible. You made this mama feel less crazy juggling so many things at once. I was always treated with such grace and calmness. The greatness of the show is truly a reflection of all of you and it truly shows all the hard work you all put in!!! LASTLY TO MYSELF:🫂Take a breath, you did it. This journey with all the ups and downs has made this achievement a little sweeter. Reflecting on it we all got an experience of a lifetime and we are all better because of it. I just can’t believe she can actually compete with me now. Playing games with her is truly fun and I know she’s close to being better at me in things and I can’t wait for that for her 🥹.
