The storm last night was a little rougher on Moonpie than any of the other dogs. Or at least that’s the way it appeared this morning when I saw her.

I feel like there’s a lesson in this…

We all go through storms that nobody even knows about. Sometimes it’s visible, and sometimes it isn’t. Someone else may go through the same storm yet carry it differently.

Where one has shelter, the other is left out in it. Where one has support, the other fends for himself. Where one has learned to lay it down, the other still holds the heaviness.

Rest assured, the storm doesn’t last forever, but it can have lasting effects. From the person who may seem a little rude in the store to the one who masks with a smile, we don’t know all the storms. So, let’s be gentle. Offer grace. Show love.

(And because oftentimes on social media assumptions can be made that a post is about a situation, this is the disclaimer that it’s not. 😆 Moonpie just put me deep in thought, wondering what the storm was like for her versus the other dogs. 😃) by @jodena
