How an Uber ride I wasn’t even in—in a country I’d never been to—changed everything. 🌍

Seven years ago, my former boss Tom was stuck in traffic in Dubai. He hopped in a random Uber—and met James, the Director of the Dubai Business Associates program.

When I was transitioning then out of the DC area, Tom introduced me to James as I was interested in working abroad.

Thanks to Tom and James, I became a DBA Fellow in 2018. Founded by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the program taught me to chase the impossible, think bigger, and never settle. That mindset shaped everything I’ve done since—including launching ELEVENO Pickleball.

Fast forward to today, I had the rare chance to return to Dubai and share that journey with His Highness and the very leadership that helped shape it.

As HH reminds us: “The race to excellence has no finish line.”

Happy National Intern Day to my original intern. 🤍

Back when ELEVENO was nothing more than an idea and a parking lot, @maddie2_a spent her summer helping build it, then even made ELEVENO her high school DECA project.

Today, she’s our Executive Assistant and one of the biggest reasons this company keeps moving forward.

We work so well together because we’re wired similarly—we cut through the noise and just get things done. My brain moves a million miles an hour, and she’s the person who turns the chaos into action.

This photo is our natural habitat: working long hours, solving problems, laughing through the chaos, and building something we truly believe in.

I’m incredibly lucky to work alongside such a strong woman in business. Here’s to celebrating interns who become so much more. 💙 #NationalInternDay taken in Eleveno by @jodicul

As a founder, stress is the price of caring this much. I’m always go, go, GO—push through, figure it out and keep showing up. But lately, my body hasn’t been able to keep up with where my mind wants to go.

I never get sick, but recently I’ve felt like I’m running on empty. I haven’t been drinking enough water, sleeping enough or fueling my body with what it actually needs.

That’s what led me to @dreamspamedical

One of the reasons I love Patriot Place so much is because of our amazing neighbors. @dreamspamedical took the time to talk with me about managing stress and staying stronger mentally and physically. I tried their Ballancer Pro compression therapy and a B12 shot—and left feeling like I finally took a minute to take care of myself. My headache not only went away, but I slept great and feel refreshed. I’ll be going back for their IV drip and their recovery lounge treatments and get on a stable schedule that can help me balance my work life during this grind time.

My biggest challenge right now is moving from a peer to an owner .. but I think of the start of my sports days and gaining that confidence of make a decision then make every decision the right decision. Females in sports and the momentum in the sports industry around females is a reminder for me to tap back into that mindset as I am in this new role by @jodicul
