The Serenity Prayer is one I hold dear. If you dont know it and are encountering it for the first time it starts off like this "God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference..."

Serenity is deeper than simply being calm. It is an inner steadiness that says: “Whatever is happening around me does not have to become turmoil within me.” Serenity therefore isn't passivity. It is trust without panic.
