After 3 years of freelancing (aka: being the boss, IT, HR… and my own worst enemy 😅), I’ve made the jump back into employment.

And honestly? I’m loving it.

We're just about to complete week 3 of training and I’m:

✅ Learning loads
✅ Asking all the questions (sorry, not sorry)
✅ Actually taking proper breaks!

The biggest surprise?
How well we’re treated. Like… really cared for.

🧠 Mental wellbeing = a genuine priority
🗣️ Feedback isn’t just welcomed, it’s actioned
☕ Breaks are encouraged (freelancers, take note 👀)

It’s been such a refreshing shift from solo life.

Support, structure, and a steady paycheck that doesn’t involve chasing invoices? Yes please 💜

Thanks to everyone who’s checked in: it’s going great.

Happy Mother's Day (for yesterday)! 💐

You are multitasking legends who are raising humans and building businesses (with a cold cuppa in hand and a to-do list that never ends).

👩 You’re replying to emails from the school car park
👩 You’re squeezing in client calls between snack requests
👩 You’re doing it tired. But you’re doing it anyway

Running a business is tough. Being a mum is tougher.

Doing both? Absolute superhero status 🦸‍♀️

💭 I used to overthink every single blog post.

❌ “Is this useful enough?”
❌ “What if nobody reads it?”
❌ “Do I sound too boring… or too much?”

I’d spend hours tweaking intros, rewriting paragraphs or scrapping posts altogether.

Why? Because I thought blogging had to be perfect to be valuable.

But let’s be honest, perfectionism is just procrastination in a fancy outfit 🧥

And it was holding me back.

Things changed when I started focusing on strategy over perfection:

👉 I learned what my audience actually wanted to read
👉 I gave myself permission to write as I talk
👉 I committed to done > perfect

Now? I write confidently, consistently, and with way more joy.

I still edit like a hawk, but I don’t let fear lead anymore.

Half-term: Survived. Just about 😅

Cupcakes? Decorated and devoured
Face paint? Transferred onto my clothes
Balloon twisting? Lasted about 3 minutes
Grandparents? Attacked with hugs

It’s been a week of family time, park trips and sugar-fuelled chaos. But now, with the kids back at school, I’m officially reclaiming my workspace (and my sanity) 🤪
