Happy 4th from Canada!

Big thanks to @rheahawkins and @bobbynachos for having me up.

And a huge shoutout to @the_gentleman_lumberjack for netting my first musky!

PS: The pike ate the popper too.

The Flycraft and skinny water led to some unpressured fish, resulting in a decent smallie before the season ends.

One rod, one iPhone, and one pike. All three went swimming in the river.

Shoutout to my shorty for putting together the color combo on the fly that caught this pike. She understood the assignment. taken in Renaissance Festival by @joe_christopher

I got to be a part of something special. “Currentcy” is out now, a short documentary by @ryankchristians following @the_gentleman_lumberjack journey through fly fishing after life took an unexpected turn. Watching Ryan shoot, direct, and edit this whole thing solo was incredible to witness, and being trusted to be part of Ashley’s story is something I don’t take lightly. Go watch it, link in bio 🔗 #smallmouthbass #smallmouth #bassfishing #flyfishing #flyfish taken in Minnesota by @joe_christopher

Four friends flew into Minneapolis for a bachelor party float on our home water, and the conditions turned tough out of nowhere. Temps pushing mid 90s, wildfire smoke hanging over the river, water like a bathtub. They fished it anyway.

All 4 clients landed fish, so nobody in this crew gets bragging rights over anyone else. Just four friends, two guides, and one river. @liam_ireland112 and I kept grinding it out with them through conditions that would’ve kept the fair-weather angler inside.

Smoke in the air, smallies and smiles in the boat. That’s a bachelor party done right. Congrats to the Groom! taken in Minnesota by @joe_christopher
