Staying at the lighthouse for a night, one of our favorite spots in NorCal. Each bunkhouse has a large kitchen, a private room is $150 a night, there’s a hot tub on the cliff with private reservations, and the views are amazing. Lots of wildlife, we saw flocks of pelicans flying north, and Fab watched a wild rabbit for ten minutes. Highly recommended for families with kids, high quality quiet time taken in Pigeon Point Lighthouse by @joefinkel

Angel Island camping trip, three days two nights. We saw a bald eagle, flocks of pelicans, a full moon, and a shipwreck. Perfect weather, and it’s so uncrowded on weekdays. My fav camping spot in the Bay Area taken in Angel Island State Park by @joefinkel

We took a quick last minute trip to Tahoe for a night, stayed at Harrah’s, had a great time. It’s really chill in the off season, almost no traffic, better rates, would recommend. Hotel had an indoor pool, we gave Fab some swimming lessons. We also stopped by Echo Lake on the way back to show Fab snow for the first time, which was also definitely a hit. It’s always good to get out of town, even for a day… by @joefinkel

We took Fab to see Bruce Springsteen at Chase Center, just two blocks from our place. Real nosebleed seats but still a super good show. We’re probably the only ones there with a baby, but he did pretty well - lots of clapping, some singing, no crying. Anyway he gets in for free for now, so why not taken in Chase Center by @joefinkel

Visiting the palace wearing traditional Korean outfits. Admission is free if you’re in costume, and costume rental is cheaper than admission. The rental shop is across the street, they make it pretty easy. Fab was a good sport about it, too taken in 경복궁 - Gyeongbokgung Palace by @joefinkel

Our first international flight with Fab was a success. 12 hour flight from SFO to Seoul, he slept about half the time. The rest of the time we ate snacks and read books. We didn’t bring any toys or screens for him, I figure the plane itself should be interesting to a kid. We took walks to the galley and looked out the windows. Getting the bulkhead row was clutch, though, would recommend. by @joefinkel

Fab started daycare today, at 17 months old (almost a year and a half.) We’re excited for him to start to learn how to play well with other kids. But I’ll miss him, it’s been a lot of fun hanging out with him all day every day for the past year by @joefinkel

My new favorite museum. If I’m ever in Phoenix again I’m giving myself two days here. What a cool way to organize the world’s musical cultures. And there’s a bunch of stuff you can play, too. Seriously highly recommended taken in Musical Instrument Museum - MIM by @joefinkel

Thanksgiving roundup - lots of fun times around NYC and NJ. We went to my sister Rena’s wedding, saw Waiting For Godot with Bill & Ted, visited my Grandma, partied in Englewood and Brooklyn, and took Fab to the circus. Exhausted but thankful! by @joefinkel

Happy first birthday to our very funny son Fabrizio. At his party he wore his traditional Korean hanbok and we did a doljanchi ceremony where he makes a selection from a variety of objects meant to symbolize potential future career paths. He chose the pencil (same as his mom @jenandko when she was a baby) which would foretell a scholarly future for him. He also got to wear a matching sweat suit with his cousin, and matching sneakers with his dad. A very happy day! by @joefinkel
