A right treasure trove at Lincoln Antiques Market today, not least of which, a Chinese and an English version of Chairman Mao’s Little Red Book. Also, stick around until the last slide for a smashing little find further down Steep Hill🕵🏻‍♂️

So FYI, Mao’s Little Red Book was a collection of his speeches and writings, handed out in the millions during China’s Cultural Revolution. It was meant to inspire total loyalty to Mao’s vision and became one of the most widely printed books in history but is today a physical symbol of an authoritarian regime who’s forced policies of ‘progress’ cost the lives of millions, so it was wild to see both versions side by side in a market you can visit on the train!

Then, as we walked back down Steep Hill, we found some 17th century armour in at @lincolnantiques which judging by its style, looks to me like it would’ve been for the world’s teeny tiniest, most adorable Roundhead parliamentarian soldier.

If you like old stuff, go to Lincoln. It’s ace.

🏆Should’ve ended up in the Championship, not the Champions League. Football aye 🤦🏻‍♂️🤮😭🤩❤️

Last night genuinely meant the world to me and to share it with my family and one of my oldest reprobate compatriots made it even more special 😍

Fair play Ange 👏🏼

📍Bolsover Castle, Derbyshire

Following on from the previous post, some nice big, jolly wides to show what a lovely spot it is. Not a bad gaff for 17th-century aristocrat and the (alleged) inventor of dressage Charles Cavendish 🐎

Thank you SO much everyone for coming all the way to windswept southern Sicily to see myself and @jessforrester_ tie the knot in June. We are genuinely so thankful to have such amazing friends and family.

Big shoutout to the groomsmen for all your help, @harryseal7 and @nazzlekicks for annihilating me in your speeches (see photo 9 🤦🏻‍♂️), His Holiness @joe_pope for marrying us, @lvincey for being the Games Master, @liam.mxriss for outing our innovative use of a suitcase, my Mum and my Aunty @bethsampson66 for making everyone weep with their words and to all of you for cutting up a rug with us to some of Foz’s disco classics.

Most of all thank you @jessforrester_ for marrying me. Still not sure why you wanted to but delighted you did! Love you xxx
