The perfection in nature. Humpback Whales bubble-net feeding in the Arctic. I’ve seen this in documentaries before but never with my own eyes, to get such an incredible view of it was a treat. Over and over they did it allowing me the time and precision to get all the angles of this majestic dance.

Gently does it! Was stood admiring the colony from afar wishing I had a telephoto lens when out of the water leapt a Pingu and waddled his way right by me back to their mates! Such was his proximity I backed slowly away but he did enable expertly model and did all the poses for me!

A warm welcome at a wintery Palmer Station last year. The Sir David Attenborough’s first visit to the US research station on the Antarctic Peninsula! Always fun doing the tour swaps each team able to see each others set up. I was rather jealous of the hot tub!
