Occasionally you encounter a situation that allows for something truly beautiful and unique to take place.

I recently started a large commission for @kinjil and @anujmathur It stands alone not only as my first figurative commission, but also as a real shift in the way I plan to approach my paintings moving forward.

From the conversations we shared, to contributing to their wonderful collection, to knowing the work will have a permanent place in their home — it has been a genuinely special experience.

A reminder that art, collecting, and the meaning they carry are still very much alive taken in Upper West Side by @joel_baca_
