SIK Pre-Season Player to Watch: Beloit’s (3A) Joel Rexroat returns as one of the most productive running backs in Class 2A. The 5’10”, 165-pound back exploded in 2024 with 1,899 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns, adding 45 tackles and an interception from his free safety spot. He helped lead the Trojans to a 9-3 season and earned SIK First Team Offense and Non-Senior First Team recognition. Rexroat is no stranger to accolades across sports — he’s earned All-League and All-State honors in football, baseball, and basketball, including 2nd Team All-State pitcher in baseball this past spring. “I’m very excited to come back and play one more year of a sport called football. I know that the Beloit Trojans will give it their all and we’ll have another successful season. Most importantly, I’m excited to play with my friends and be part of a family,” Rexroat said. Key returning teammates include Brody Litton, Griffin Johnson, and Kross Kemmerer. The Trojans graduated a strong 2025 class, but look for them to make another deep playoff run with a talented returning class. #sportsinkansas
