I’ve been putting myself in uncomfortable positions lately.

Not just physically, but mentally too.

I’ve been deliberately putting myself in new environments, especially when it comes to training, because sometimes growth comes from doing things you’re not naturally comfortable with.

If you know me, you’ll know running used to be my thing. Growing up, it was my main sport. Then I got into my early 20s, was a skinny lad, and decided, “Nah, I don’t want to run anymore. I want to get big.”

So I got big. And somewhere along the way, I lost the ability and honestly, the desire to move well and run.

Now I’m at a point where I want to be able to do both. I want to be a decent size, but I also want to move, run, perform and actually feel athletic.

That’s why I asked @sir_lance.11 to keep me accountable and push me.

Because sometimes you have to put yourself in spaces that make you uncomfortable. Spaces you might dislike. Around people who think differently, train differently and have a completely different perspective.

You don’t grow by constantly doing what you’re already good at.

So I’m putting myself in environments that challenge me and I’m embracing being uncomfortable.
