Street Fighter was Fan Service through and through. While it is a crazy over the top action film that does the videogames justice. Paramount Pictures also put their Right Wing Libertarianism on full display with this one. From a character riffing on John Cena's Fast and the Furious apology to the Communist Party for calling Taiwan a country, to the clearly Soviet Spetsnaz Uniforms of Mr. Bisons henchmen and instead of the games just MetroCity in Paramount's film it's MetroLao City (Lao is a Communist State). Street Fighter also has some clear references to Mortal Kombat, when Gouten is defeated you see a reach into the rib cage and grabbing of Goutens heart "Finish Him"! Mortal Kombat truly has been outshined by Street Fighter.

The attention to detail was amazing, every characters designs faithfully ripped straight out of the games. From Kami to Guile Paramount went for an accurate depiction of each fighter. The cinematography was insanely beautiful and the sound design impeccable.

The last adaptation of Street Fighter cast BC's own Kristen Kreuk as Chun Li, in this adaptation Paramount cast a Canadian as well Callina Liang. I do love the fact that Paramount kept a Canadian in the role. Also I AD'd with Meghan Hui on the Exorcist and she killed it as Callina Liang's stunt double. I have to say, there's a lot beneath the surface in this Street Fighter film that just impresses the hell out of me.

Critics are bawling about physics logic and the story world feeling flat. If you've ever played the games you'd know that it's just supposed to be fun, button mashing. When going into Street Fighter you should be checking your logic at the door. With comedic elements woven through this high octane action film, it truly does deliver for fans of the games.

Treated David to Thanksgiving Dinner, It's Canadian Thanksgiving and I'm in Mexico so we went to an American BBQ joint closest thing to a Traditional Turkey Dinner I could find. David's American/Mexican dual nationality so he won't be State side for Thanksgiving! He keeps saying thanks for the Honksgiving Dinner because it's Canadian Goose Thanksgiving not real Thanksgiving 🤣😂😅 I disagree, Footballgiving isn't the real Thanksgiving. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

Happy Thanksgiving To All!

I was thinking of a Picture I could share from down here that expressed my feelings this Thanksgiving. This statue Las Manos, it's dedicated to all those whose loved ones died being dragged under by the Rip Tides and drowned at Sea. Of all the Pictures I've taken down here, Las Manos expresses my thoughts on this day.

I am drowning, I have been barely treading water for several years. Between homes five times, actually living in a tent, three times. Now my apartment building caught fire, my neighbor died, my apartment has been contaminated with Asbestos and an unknown "Noxious Gas". I escaped with only my T-Short, Shorts and my Cellphone.

I AM THANKFUL, for this statue's second hand, those who Love me, care about me, my Mental Health and my Well-being.

I am so extremely Thankful to my Friends, Colleagues, Family who have showed up in different ways to help me tread the water. For the colleague who knew I can camp off the grid in the Summer, but during the Winter that's not possible so they gave me shelter in their guest room. For my Actor Gal Pals who trusted me and believed in me to the point they traveled across the continent (Siana Rey) or country (Marissa Vless) several times to act in my films. To my Mexican Friends (David Piper) who have given me shelter, who have helped me make our movies (Alex Villegas) in Mexico City. To my countless colleagues in Vancouver who have checked in on me like Lynne Lee, Jennifer Vaughan, Joel McCarthy to name just a few who have given me food, clothing when I had nothing. To my Best Friend Shaun Lang who keeps helping me move, again and again, and again, as I go from being houses to un-house to housed.

I also am so grateful to those LM/ALM's who I had great relationships before I moved up to ADing. It's been humbling to go from regularly 3rd ADing/TADing to PAing. Dustin Shea, Connor Riley, Tracey Reynolds, Erik Wool, for keeping me working. Sarah Rogers for constantly bringing me back onto her AD team. My old room mate Michele Tolosa who gave me AADBC work for awhile before the hacking attacks made it hard to continue.
