Last month, my short documentary “Tussen woorden en wie we worden” premiered at Bibliotheek Neude in Utrecht!

Through the eyes of half-Korean, half-Dutch Mink (7) and Bo (10), this short documentary explores their search for identity and roots. Faced with discrimination because of their ‘otherness’, the siblings find comfort within each other. “Tussen woorden en wie we worden” / Between words and who we become” - How do you find your sense of belonging between two worlds?

A heartfelt thank you to my friends, family and everyone who joined for this special evening. Your presence, kind words and support throughout the process of making this film means a lot to me 🫶

I feel grateful, inspired, and pretty excited for what’s ahead and can’t wait to keep making films and sharing stories that create recognition and open up conversations around topics we don’t talk about enough.

‘Er is altijd nog de aarde die je draagt’

Een korte hybride documentaire over rouwverwerking door natuurverbondenheid.

De natuur als helende plek waarin rouw zich in het lichaam laat voelen, waar je mag schreeuwen tegen de zee en schoppen in het zand,
als bedding voor stilte en ademruimte voor het hart,
waar het mag helen.

Als herinnering dat wij, als mens, deel zijn van het grotere geheel.
