Sounds of @thereel.space 🗣️

Beyond proud of what @by.ewanfrench @thereel.firm + the French family have built. It’s clean. It’s mature. It’s for the community.

In Marns we trust ✍️

I’ve heard a lot of @marns_uk hype for a long time, but only over the summer did I actually properly listen. When I did, I was full of regret. I asked myself “why didn’t I listen sooner?” Believe the hype.

Soulful, bold, emotional, empowered, freeing. That’s the music I heard, and so I had to find out more on my latest @swu.fm show.

In our interview, we learn about her journey to being a full time artist, why having a manager is valuable, and break down the stigma behind ghostwriting.

The rest of the show was filled with a vibrant array of music from around the globe. The first 30 mins was some tracks I’ve been bumping, some pure different vibes. The second hour, I got into the mix for a bit, and played some new UK rap bangers.

There’s nothing like it 🕴️

When I saw @patch.desalis in his element performing his ‘Power of Intention’ EP at @afghantastycorner a few weeks back, I understood his music, his mission and his creative vibration a lot more. I knew he was the perfect guest for @swu.fm.

There is no doubt that my prediction was correct. Patch came down and we got into a mind opening chat, effortlessly flowing from deep thoughts about his home city to emotive reflections on music. Then he said ‘run the riddims’ and spat crazy bars for 20 mins. Legendary.

I seriously recommend listening back on the @rinse.fm app/website or on SWU’s soundcloud. We can all be a bit more like Patch.

Rest of the show was as always filled with ridiculously good new music from around the UK 📡📡 taken in SWU.FM by @joevalek

The pale blue dot comes into focus 🌍

Before I researched him, I didn’t really understand how much sense it made to get @paleblumusic on the show. Not only did he have his own radio show for 10 years, but he’s a real patron of supporting and championing talented musicians. He’s been an creating music since he was just 15, cutting his teeth in London’s warehouse raves. Now, he’s an indie-jungle musician and he runs his own creative agency. It therefore follows that we had a top tier chat.

You can listen back to the full show and interview on the @rinse.fm app or the @swu.fm soundcloud 🔗

The rest of the show was pure heat too. The first hour was a straight smooth, but then I upped them tempo for the second hour. Balance is everything! ⚖️ taken in SWU.FM by @joevalek

It’s @lovesavesthedayfestival again! Here’s a clip from when I was there back in 2023 when I was searching for the secret to long lasting love.

Why’s it lowkey giving Mario & Luigi? 🍄

Had the honour of @i.5.2.y joining me on @swu.fm to talk about her journey into DNB, the iconic fringe, raving behaviours, and her fav nerdy production techniques. I love it when conversations just flow, and Iszy made this so easy! Biggup 🗣️

For the rest of the show, there’s plenty of fresh sounds from big talents across the UK. We gave homage to two massively important UK albums (for me personally as well as the scene) which had birthdays recently, from @skepta and @burial. I also span some @djspiceuk and @break_dnb vinyls which I picked up recently - bangers!

“Not everyone’s gonna be Beyoncé!”

@strategyyeah is the antithesis of the mainstream route. Fully independent, Strats has built a successful career that’s enabled him to travel over the world to perform his art. Something he believes saved him.

As a way to give back, he recently launched @conduct.magazine, a label, talent agency, academy and magazine. The goal is to support young people towards achieving their creative ambitions, whether that’s being a world famous pop icon or an underground DJ.

I’m very grateful to @taktikal_exr for bringing me and Strategy together at @theboxingymhq for this one - I’ve been a big fan for years so it really was an honour!
