I want to say that I am beyond proud and beyond overjoyed for this team! We have worked so hard and fought so hard to be in the position we are now. We layed everything that we could on the court and that’s genuinly all I could have asked for. This team has grown so much as people, players, and a team overall we have gotten better played with people we never played with before and created new friendships and more love for the game of volleyball. I want to thank all of my coaches I’ve ever had for giving me things to use as I grow in this sport everything matters. We put so many months and days to be in the spot we are now. Yes we lost the final but in the end that wasn’t what mattered. WE MADE IT TO STATES AND GREW TOGETHER AND THATS WHAT MATTERS. Good season boys I’m proud of each and every single one of you! Even if we lost you guys won first place in my heart ❤️!!!!! taken in Polk State College by @vbcoachteresa

Ps: this video is long: I wanted to make this video for funsies and to show my highlights and mistakes. I am no influencer by any means and don’t plan on becoming one, but as an athlete there are so many things we struggle with mentally and physically. I have been playing volleyball for 6 years now and I’m nowhere near what my potential will be, but I want to remind every young athlete or old that if you are determined to do somthing you will do it. I have been determined to play volleyball since tryouts in 6th grade and I’m determined to get better in college, I want everyone to know that if you are struggling mentally or physically with your sport or anything else talk to someone and pick yourself up and be determined to get better. Next ball mentality is something to apply not just in the game but in really life too such as school, work, family, etc. understand it happened and now move forward! And everyone who needs to talk to someone, I am here for you 🫵#volleyball #mentalhealthawarnessmonth #libero #mensvolleyball #tampaunitedvolleyball by @vbcoachteresa

LIBEROS!! Take Notes:

Digging at a high level is hard, but here’s how Indiana Tech commit @joey_6.vb makes it look easy playing in 18 Open:

1. Be disciplined in your base.
2. With hips facing the ball, make small adjustments.
3. Read AROUND the block, don’t hide behind it.
4. Get stopped before contact.
5. Palms up, arms in front, away from the body.
6. Split step on contact.
7. Attack the ball with your platform.
8. Knee drive (not dive 😉) try to keep your chest up.
9. Strong shoulders, error UP instead of forward.
10. Get up and go cover. by @vbcoachteresa
