Chapter 2: First Day at Sea

Starting the day at 2:40am for night watch (The jet lag kind of helped Tbf)

Once the sun comes up, life onboard settles into a pretty nice routine. Catching up on the UK work, Day-Watch, cooking, cleaning, fishing, eating and sleeping whenever you get the chance.

Figuring out how to balance these two very different jobs, but there are definitely worse places to open your laptop.

3 days of this as we made our way across to Aitutaki 🇨🇰

A bit of context before I start posting stuff . .

4 years ago I got my boat tickets and started working on yachts, then 15 months ago I started a new business back home in the UK.

This business is still new but going well and I had to make a choice: Carry on seeing the world through boat work and put the business on pause OR Settle into uk life and fully immerse myself in growing the business

I’ve decided to see if I can make both work ⛵️🏡

Which is how I ended up taking 3 flights from the UK to Bora Bora to join the Oyster World Rally as delivery crew while still running the business back home

This is Chapter 1: Getting to Bora Bora, settling into the new boat and setting of on our first Sail to Aitutaki 🌅

One last diving reel from Koh Tao, Thailand

For the price of a 2 week holiday in Europe you can spend 8 weeks learning to dive in warm seas full of fishes!

Running my business around this was challenging but when put under pressure these things just work out!
