CASTRA x @joeythorr

We enjoyed this one, what a guy.

Joey T loves music, and loves playing music that gets you going. He's got an infectious energy that floods the dancefloor.

We got down to @piccadillycentral_mcr to see him in action and to get involved first hand.

2025 was a busy one for our man Joey, playing all over at some big events (special mention @esoulcultura & @weoutherefest) curating some versatile sets that get people of all ages moving.

He's just dropped a new tune, and if that's anything to go by this is gonna be a massive year for him.

spices spicy weeks for October we reckon 👻

Tuesday - Dub Techno Chess Club

The DTCC invites people of all chess abilities to play this timeless game of strategy to a soundtrack of deep and immersive dub techno. At the turn of the autumn equinox Touré & the DTCC residents will be gracing your ears and moves with their dreamy sounds.

Wednesday - Joel Coltan

Serious selector Joel Coltan steps back behind our decks on Wednesday, inviting us all to accompany him on a journey through the groove. Soulful, smooth and decidedly danceable, this is a must for fans of jazz, funk and disco.

Thursday - Joey T

Wonk-upstart, DJ supreme and production powerhouse Joey T has releases on Mas O Menos, Superunknown and Sprechen, and regularly rocks the spot at Luke Una’s É Soul Cultura nights, alongside any decent party you’d care to mention. This is your Thursday rave-up alert.

Friday - ZÈYLA early Una Lee late

a regular presence behind our decks, ZÈYLA has a habit of raising the roof and reducing the bar staff into a single entity deep in a dance. This week she heats us up for our own groove champion Una Lee coming full forces for a night full of disco, electro, dancehall and the odd psychedelic funk jam bringing smiles in our faces and bums of seats

Saturday - Matthew Rothery

Whether changing the city’s cultural landscape, and making all our lives better as part of Kiss Me Again or playing BOC into Lou Hayter in the best bar set imaginable, Matthew does it better than most with a class that’s unmatched. His previous renae sets have been hazy afternooners and soft focus Sundays, so we had to let him loose on a Saturday night!

Sunday - Space Tours & Lucia

As a producer, Mitch Wellings’ Space Tours releases have graced the sets of the likes of Carl Craig, Gerd Janson and Craig Richards, and as a DJ, he’s raised the roof at Berlin’s CDV and beyond. For this Sunday session he’s joined by Lucia (of Ola & Lucia fame), who has Gottwood, Boiler Room and DBA pedigree. Expect proggy house, alien electro and beyond. taken in Northern Quarter, Manchester by @joeythorr
