We absolutely never let the rain spoil our fun. All of the seasons in one day at the absolutely glorious Lost Gardens of Helligan. A horticultural delight. Needless to say I brought back half of the gardens with me. So much joy in the nature with the ultimate holiday partner @benjoneshair 💚 This was one of the most incredible gardens I've ever visited. Take me back to the beach.

Does any human experience beat being barefoot on the sand? The sound of the sea and feeling the earthly energies all around. My mum told me it was a magical enchanted place, also one of Ben Jones's favourites, now mine. It was here that I truly felt utterly content and peaceful for the first time in years. Thanks for sharing the wild beauty of Cornwall with me. When's our next trip @benjoneshair

Culture & Cream Teas

Absolutely understand why Cornwall has historically attracted so many artists. Everywhere you look is intensely three dimensional. There are multiple visual planes in each vista, somehow your brain can't believe just how much you can drink in with your eyes. Every Cornish corner is filled with beauty and infused with nature. Inspiration is everywhere.

Love Is The Way

Next stop was beautiful Falmouth which was one of my favourite Cornish costal town. Littered with vintage and antique stores begging for a rummage and a little shop specialising in Witchcraft it's suitably quirky with a real vibe and reminds me of my hometown Totnes, although not quite so many book stores. Absolutely worth a visit.

My second weekend back in London and haven't stopped dreaming about our little holiday in Cornwall. It's really changed my mind about UK holidays. There is such beauty in England away from tech, industry and the concrete carbuncle's! Phone signal is almost non existent there, so it's a real digital detox. Getting back to nature is where it's at. We started our Cornish adventures with a little pilgrimage to St Michael's Mount. A tiny tidal island that remains an iconic part of the costal landscape and ultimate gothic grockle destination 🖤

Happy Father's Day to my Da, Rex; the submariner.

My Da was a lieutenant serving on a submarine in the Royal Australian Navy when I was a baby. Stationed all over the world in the Cold War era he would be away at sea for 6 months at a time. When we last visited Auz the exact submarine he was serving on HMAS Ovens had been made into a floating museum in Freemantle so I got to visit his place of work as an adult. While clambering through the airlocks which were painted a very specific shade of industrial yellow I exclaimed that I'd been there before and always thought it was a reoccurring dream as the visual was so vivid yet surreal. It was a real memory! My dad told me that I had come to visit him on board and had taken my first steps unaided next to his bunk. How mental is that? Only I could first walk under water on a submarine. A Jo Frost special.

Thanks for the unorthodox childhood development situations and the memories.

My dad is sailing in Brittany today, hopefully on the water and not under it but a life on the waves is his natural habitat and where he is in his element. The time when he is truly happy.

Big love and speedy recovery to my Da @rexf88 he has just come out of a triple heart bypass ❤️‍🩹 In his words "They had to replace all the plumbing". He's currently in recovery from a 6 hour surgery, so it's gonna be awhile before he's back to racing on the waves but we are so lucky the doctor detected it before any heart attacks. My grandpa, his father died young from an aortic heart attack. My da is gonna be bionic after this. Forever stoic he said to his wife Sue "See you in a week" yesterday, ahead of the surgery. Indeed, he's gonna be out of it for awhile. Enjoy that general anaesthetic while it lasts! Christmas isn't really happening this year but I'm so happy to have been able to visit in the autumn ahead of his surgery. Happy memories ♥️ So grateful to @suefrost2 for looking after my Da the @nhsengland for life saving surgery and @hearts_together_hospital_hotel for providing accommodation so she can be close by over the coming week until they release him back into the wild. Well, more realistically house arrest. He's no slouch though. Ex Australian Royal Navy submariner and the fittest top 10% for his age. He's been doing Pilates for decades and hates being cooped up so I have no doubt he'll be back to all of the endless activities in 2026.

Best beach day!

Been desperate for a beach day since I got my new car last year. Finally made it with my trusty co pilot and entertainment supervisor @benjoneshair A hilarious road trip to Hastings where we sampled in all the seaside pleasures. The most fun day out of 2025. Thanks Jonesy. You're the best gay a girl could hope for. Miss ya already!

Best gays best days!

@benjoneshair and I had a beautiful afternoon on Hampstead Heath walking in the sunshine until we got blisters, getting overly committed to selfies on the Pergola reminiscing and giggling. Miss the days we lived together in the house of fashion but so very happy to get my chosen family back for some summer fun. When Jonesy is in town it's like coming home ♥️

Recent pics of us celebrating another sensational night c/o @lostestateofficial ✨ A Night Under The Stars had a Cuban theme. Joanna went to Havana! These events have become our thing. Can't recommend highly enough. The music, performance, costumes and dancers are next level, the excitement is real! This fully interactive theatre experience is like stepping into a dream. So much fun that always finishes with us having a dance together. Fills your heart right up. It's the best. Big love to my Da today and all the other days of the year. Complete departure from my usual goth rock chic. Defo out of my usual comfort zone but last minute fancy dress invite seemed like the perfect opportunity. Fuck it, you only live once.

Feeling ancient.

As a child I was obsessed with Greek mythology, amazing to visit these incredible sites where myths and legends were and are still are enacted. To see where the gladiators fought against ferocious beasts and each other. These were brutal and bloodthirsty times. Entertaining the masses was a way of preventing social unrest. A means of uniting communities. A distraction. Funny that I just shot the new cast of Gladiators with the brilliant @meganwinstonephoto before my trip.

I visited the Ear of Dionysius where the enslaved people were held captive. It took an army to build these monuments. Legend has it the acoustics were so good the emperor (clearly paranoid out of his mind) could hear every word uttered so rebellions could be quashed immediately. I screamed into the echo chamber, shyly at first but by my 3rd yell I'd got over that and was hitting full volume; then these cute little kids loved my animalistic release and joined in. Hilarious. We all need to let go and feel free even if there are no physical manacles binding us, there are other shackles we need to break free from. Release yourself, because most of what holds us these days is an artificial construct. Freedom is something we mostly take for granted in modern times in the west, yet it's only when we travel, go to an epic gig, festival or escape into nature do we really experience it.
