After three years of work, love, patience, and stick-to-it-iveness in service of a great idea, Allison and Nancy's "Just Crushing" demolition derby took place yesterday at the Dubuque County Fair. The derby included five cars conceived of and designed by teens—Reproductive Rights (pink), Discrimination (blue/yellow/green), Climate Change (orange), Mental Health (pink/blue/988), and Democracy (blue). Five volunteers drove the cars in the derby, four driving in their first derby. In the end Reproductive Rights won, with Democracy—battered but still hanging on—came in second.

As a bystander and hype person, it was so amazing to see the derby take place. So much love, work, and attention to detail. It was really fun back in the pit amongst the 100+ cars and crews.

Shout out to Darrell without whom this wouldn't have happened, and to Kelly, the whole DCF DD crew and the Dubuque County Fair for making space for Just Crushing.

Excited to announce the first venue for Shall Make, Shall Be, an exhibition of ten playable works, each concerning one of the ten amendments in the Bill of Rights. @sierra_offline @rlukedubois @golanlevin and I have been working with an awesome group of game designers, artists, and collectives on this, super exciting to see it happening. The show opens on December 3 at Federal Hall, the site where the Bill of Rights was enacted 230 years ago. taken in Federal Hall National Memorial by @jofsharp
