growing up, i received so many outright rejections and bully for being “different” for having feminine qualities. but, i do believe that every time we choose courage over comfort, we introduce ourselves to the stronger version of us

i will share this to you that the bullying did not stop me from believing i am capable. befriending with women doesn’t make me any less of a person. instead, it becomes a power to create something beautiful together

many thanks to all the girls and besties who joined my intimate junk journaling session. i was thrilled seeing you all creating, making, and supporting each others’ art created by YOU, women. because i always believe that creative expression enables women not merely to speak but to reshape the conditions under which speaking is possible🩷 I GOT MY GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS I DOOO LOVE GIRLS GIRLS🩷🩷🩷

a little look back at the last JOurnaling GO to: @bonbu.id

as someone who’s juggling in creative industry and been creating my own community, there’s something really amazing about getting people around a table with a pile of junks, papers, scissors, tape and glue, and just seeing what happens. the ideas, the conversations, the quiet concentrating, the changing our mind ten times before we stick anything down, and then seeing everyone leave with something completely their own,

something we rarely recognize about creating something.

thank you to the girls who came and spent the afternoon creating with me, and to @bonbu.id for having us and giving us such a lovely space to make a mess in. thank you for the good foods oh my god delicious!❤️

building a community means holding space for real people, for human with their multitudes and layers, not perfect ones. everyone’s carrying something, chasing something, healing from something. i’ve had to learn to embrace that the experience of being human is multidimensional through getting connected with people. and that’s the magic! every one of us is living such extraordinary lives, we just have to learn and to listen

freedom of self expression is exhilarating, liberating, and always evolves!

in the midst of tight schedule and everything, the consistency to be here can be so uncomfortable sometimes. i think about giving up almost every week lol but i’ve learned there’s no secret strategy. it’s simply about showing up even when engagement is low, when events flop, when the community chats are quiet. there is no growth if you’re not there

how has life been ever since i lost my spark? yes it IS still going on

as i grew older, i never imagine that i would question about life a lot, happiness, and experience existential crisis oftentimes. been so busy with life is a blessing in disguise realizing that i’m overwhelmed with the opportunities i once wished for, but at the same time… i almost forget to feel… to feel happy, to feel sad, to feel enjoy

august feels like a wakeup call for me to keep live somewhere in my twenties i’ve never lived while i’m busy surviving. this took me times to figure out and i’m still relearning it and realizing over and over again that life is supposed to be lived, not thought… to feel whatever it is! and september, may all the sparks i’ve lost, always find their way back to my soul!!!!! get your groove on girlie🌟 by @jog.o
