To all of you amazing people who read Favors Within Ashes: you can now download the accompanying illustration book for free! 🙂

It includes all the character illustrations, some of which date back to 2003 and 2004. It's not a long book, but I hope you'll enjoy this glimpse into the story's history and development.

An honest review on Goodreads would mean a lot and help tremendously. 🙂

The ebook is completely free to download here: https://dl.bookfunnel.com/l81kaf92id

No Amazon required! 🙂
You can also DM me for the link! Get the Illustration eBook for free! :) by @john.d.escu_author

Fan art alert!
EN - 3,207 stitches later, I finally managed to finish this pattern. It's my first project of this kind, and I'm quite proud of how it turned out. I definitely learned a lot while working on it, and there are surely many improvements I could make, but just the way it is, it holds a very special emotional value. by @john.d.escu_author

November 2026. by @john.d.escu_author

After two years of searching for the right translators, and dodging the AI‑generated cringe from scammers claiming they could “professionally” translate Favors within Ashes into German, the book has finally been translated!

It has now been edited and proofread by two wonderful women with whom I could work and communicate directly. Together, we made sure no details were lost in translation.

Yes, rats eat stones and drink gold. A hound and a chained dog are not the same in Dautrinias. They have no days or nights. They have the sun. And sometimes it is asleep, sometimes awake.

I will soon be sending out ARC copies of Die Gaben der Asche. I can’t wait to share this story in the german language! 🙂🇩🇪✨🐀 by @john.d.escu_author
