Pure, desperate worship. 😁❤️‍🔥🎷 You can worship in kitchens, around tables, in cars, in apartments, dorms, houses, stages, coffee shops… But most importantly in Spirit & Truth 🌊 21 “Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. 22 You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. 24 God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” 🌊 ⛺️ #worship #chapelhill #jesus taken in Chapel Hill, North Carolina by @john.mcdowell05

Jesus can move just as much in a stadium as He can around a kitchen table ❤️‍🔥🥖 John 4:21-22 21 Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. 22 You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews. #worship #chapelhill #jesus #presence taken in Chapel Hill, North Carolina by @john.mcdowell05

He will seek you out… Even in the desert places… Even in the wilderness! ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭51‬:‭3‬ ‭ESV‬‬ 🌊 “For the Lord comforts Zion; he comforts all her waste places and makes her wilderness like Eden, her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the voice of song.” The Lord is building up His people. After further prayer, visits, and seeking the Lord’s direction. I am grateful to announce my commitment to Belmont Men’s Soccer. As I grow as a player, and more importantly as a man of God, I am trusting that He is leading me to exactly where I need to be. His calling, not my own. Looking forward to the opportunity at Belmont to develop, compete, and lead at a high level. Beyond thankful and can’t wait to get rocking and rolling in Nashville 👀 - - - - “The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” ~ Proverbs 16:9 #committed #jesus #faith by @john.mcdowell05

After a lot of prayer and seeking the Lord’s guidance, I’m proud to share that my time in Chapel Hill has come to an end. 6 year old John would’ve never dreamed of all the things that would take place here in my hometown… Thank you Jesus for the opportunity, open doors, crushing, and blessings from this place. Thank you family. What an honor to continue the legacy at this university on the field and beyond. Thank you to my teammates for your respect, for running the race with me despite challenges, late nights, and pain. Though it didn’t always look pretty, the growth was needed. Thank you administrators and professors for the support as I aggressively pursued my business degree and providing opportunity to serve. Thank you friends. Brothers and sisters that have encouraged, supported, and cheered me on. Lasting relationships I will never take for granted. If you told me the things that would take place as an 18 year old freshman, I would laugh and say “no shot” All that being said, I can proudly say that I have given Chapel Hill my all. Would I do it over again? Yes. This place is home. I am a Tar Heel. - - - - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere, in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” ~ Acts ‭1‬:‭8‬ ‭ #blessed #JESUS #goheels by @john.mcdowell05

A season of yielding, trust, and deeper dependence. Leaning in, not into “the things I do” but into who HE says I am. And that’s a SON first. Witnessing God’s power burst forth in Chapel Hill these past few weeks!! Worship, prayer flowing out of a smoothie shop on Franklin, onto the streets every Friday night… Athletes, sorority girls, grandparents, families, business owners, the homeless gathering together on one accord. You can’t make it up… Coming in and going out. That’s what it’s all about. Remember Who He is. Receive His Love. There’s FREEDOM for YOU! - - - - “Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.” ~ Zechariah 4:6 by @john.mcdowell05

New thing! - - - - Thank you Jesus for all you’re doing in Chapel Hill! The old is gone, the new is here. COME and SEE! “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43‬:‭18‬-‭19‬ by @john.mcdowell05

Like so many, I’m shocked, outraged and heartbroken over the assassination of Charlie Kirk. As I was asking God how to respond to such darkness and evil, my husbands nephew, John McDowell, sent me the following reel that gives the Answer. I pray young people all over the globe will turn to Jesus, then rise up and speak out until hope, love and faith become contagious. The Light is the answer to the darkness. by @john.mcdowell05
