The First annual Menokin Artscape opening coincided with Descendant's Day 2026. 3 artists were selected to show work for a year @lyndaandrewsbarry @ghettoyolie @john_latell
There was a reception Friday and family collective blessing of ancestors on Saturday.
I thoroughly enjoyed both days meeting new people and developing new constellations of considerations around public art on historic plantation grounds.
Menokin offers respite , natural beauty, access to Cat point Creek, traditional building trade craft, seemingly inexhaustible opportunities to deepen understandings of American origin stories and a place to commune with friends.
Thank you Menokin 🙏
