Grizzly lake 2025

Got to play around in some cool granite this last week, connected some cool peaks that I’ve been eyeing for a while, caught some fish on the fly, and made some bomb meals (yes with the cast iron) I also got to spend some great time with the fellas. Never trust the chipmunks, they will take everything when it matters most. taken in Trinity Alps Wilderness by @john_latos

So grateful for this life.

The beginning of summer has brought so much,

I spent the first bit of June moseying north to Alaska, and while the trip was stellar, it felt bittersweet. I knew all along that it would end with one of my best pals @ian_mcld finding his way home. No longer are we a 15 minute walk or an hour drive apart, but months of walking and weeks of driving. Things do change and nothing can stay the same way forever, but that’s what makes this life so beautiful.

This is also my first summer back in my own home of Shasta, and it has been very fulfilling. I’ve really been embracing the yin and yang of outdoor adventure while spending multiple days in the high alpine followed by multiple days on the river. So many learning opportunities, challenges, and new friends made along the way. So absolutely grateful for it all, and thankful that all you homies are a part of it 💜

My trip to Nepal was filled with new experiences. Not only was it my first ever trip on a plane; but every smell, taste, and sound was something I’ve never even imagined. I’m grateful for every moment, from the leech infested jungle to the evenings spent @all.in.one.cafe . To say my view of the world has changed is an understatement. The door to the world seems more open than ever before and I’m stoked to see what places I find myself in next. by @john_latos
