Ripken 2025...It was an experience for sure! I know it's only 11u but it was some of the most exciting baseball I've seen. Words can't explain how proud I am of Jack and his Cyclones team. These players, coaches, and especially the families are a special group and they always have been since we formed.

They never give up and always support each other. Everyone had a highlight or a special moment. I wish I could share them all. This is what drove them to play 9 games over four days in 100 degrees weather. Four of those alone on Championship Sunday. After they finally suffered a loss, they bounced back to win the Championship by beating same Team twice in a row that handed them their loss.

I am so happy for Jack who has made a bond with all his teammates. He made some adjustments to his own game recently and it showed on Championship Sunday. I'm not sure how many more years they will play together but I'm always excited to see the next game. by @john_mcaloney

I was reminded it was a year ago this week I got my personal best Pike. Caught this Northern beast flipping ends of trees in 20 feet of water. It was an exciting fight to say the least and it broke the net when we finally got it in the boat.

It was released to grow bigger for another angler. A memorable story to say the least....another reason to love the Adk. Jack is still chasing his first pike. We gotta make that happen soon.

Jack is onto 8th and his final year at Glen Meadow and somehow McKenna is already heading into Junior year. I wish time would slow down a bit but somehow it keeps speeding up 😢. Summer #5 for Hemlock Hill Lodge. As owners, we worked (and continue to work) hard on the Lodge, so when we get to enjoy it for our own family vacation, we like to get the absolute most out of that time. We try to do as many activities, events, etc. and this summer did not disappoint! We explored Fort Ticonderoga, spent a day at Veteran’s Park Beach, kayaked, swam in Paradise Bay, hit up Food Truck Friday at Brant Lake, had hot tub mornings and firepit nights, saw fireworks, went fishing, hit up ADK Xtreme Ropes & Zip Lines, and more. Double header this weekend on Champlain. Had the Cashion open on Saturday with Bill . 91 boats. Always do well in that one but not this year. Really struggled for some reason.

Doubled down and went back out Sunday for the Greenbush Bassmasters open. 42 boat turnout. Made a few adjustments and wound up catching over 70 keepers with my buddy Jim.

Unfortunately, a lot of them were postspawn skinny and we're only culling by ounces. Finished 6th with 19.82lbs. Enough for a small check. Really just one fish away but still happy with the outcome.

Stacked a "little" wood and got to see some old friends. Picked up my non ethanol fuel, beer, and some last minute tackle @thecrossroads as usual. Solid weekend. taken in Adirondacks by @john_mcaloney
