This album - Clips by the @west.brodie quintet - has been soundtracking my journeys to the workshop this week. Angular and clattery in all the right places but still swings, if that makes sense ;-)

Under the branches of the Fortingall Yew this afternoon, thousands of years old

A benign total perspective vortex, perhaps

Roundhouse roof at @scottishcrannogcentre today

Family day out; an excellent time was had by all: we saw flint knapping, nettle cordage, blacksmithery; Hana dressed up, ground grain, eat spelt bread and saw two puppet shows and I had a very in depth conversation about the Celtic lyre that is going to keep me thinking for months.

Absolutely brilliant

At least sixteen years ago I was playing back-up accordion/ukulele/keyboard in The Middle Ones and we supported @thejohnsmith at the Bird Cage in Norwich. I remember being pretty floored by his version of Lord Franklin...

At @stringbreak_uk (which I was visiting as my alter ego @johnboursnellguitars) yesterday he got a whole crowd of guitar makers, shakers and collectors to sing the refrain from Salty and Sweet as well as making DADGAD jokes, which is no mean feat ;-)

I forgot to ask questions about his Flyde, but this album of revisitings is pretty swell by @johnboursnell
