Wasn’t the best when all of your friends would be going out every friday night but you had a game the next day.
Definitely don’t regret playing football and studying engineering though. 🏈

If your watching this… you can do whatever you set out as a goal! A year ago I was doomscrolling and always watching these amazing and famous creators like @yourengineeringsister and @nocap.finance . One year later, I put a real relationship and learned about their stories while sharing mine. To have the passion to post everyday is hard. You have to put yourself out there and put in continuous effort and have a creative mindset. I’ve learned a lot about life and content in general in 1 hour meetings from these great creators. Not only this but to know someone is out their with similar goals in content like @itsgeech and @aminspiress and not giving up! The comments and support we give each other daily gives that extra motivation and boost! And a huge shoutout to @heybrother__1 whenever I thought about quitting content and second guessing myself, his dms really lit a fire in me to continue this journey! Grateful for all of the people I’ve been meeting along this journey! Just reminder to everyone out there that you can do whatever you set your mind to with patience, positive thinking, and effort. by @johnchau__

I didn’t become an engineer because I never failed. I became an engineer because I never gave up. Neither should you!! Whatever you want, just keep at it and don’t give up! It will come! (I should say you can be afraid of failure but don’t let it stop you from continuing! Being scared is part of the process too! I didn’t mean you can’t be scared of failure because you are human but just don’t let that fear and the failures stop you from achieving whatever it is that you want!!)

I remember sitting at my dining room table with my mom with 1 offer and 1 opportunity.

I was young and uneducated on the future of my career. No clue what an engineer was or a data scientist. All I knew was that I loved playing football. As a first-gen student-athlete, I had no roadmap. I had to figure everything out along the way. 5 years later I’m a first-gen engineer with a master’s in data science and almost 1.5 years of full-time engineering experience. Beyond grateful reflecting upon the blessings football has led me to.

Sometimes you don’t need to know exactly where you’re going.

You just need to take the first opportunity. #firstgen #engineer #stem #football #careers by @johnchau__

Seeing these creators grind everyday and post meaningful content that scales and helps young professionals has been inspiring! I promise you if you just pick up that phone and start documenting your journey, you will see the benefits. Public speaking and communication. And you can meet so many amazing like-minded individuals! Shoutout to these amazing creators and make sure you check out all of their great content: @yourengineeringsister @davis_engineering_ @aminspiress @Built By An Engineer @Joop @Hey Brother @miranda_aseneth @itsgeech @futurecheme #stem #firstgen #engineer #creators #1yearagotoday by @johnchau__
