So honoured to have had another opportunity to work for @bafta at the TV Awards on Sunday. Always such a privilege and so fortunate to work under such a talented team: @missrees , @by_ellieelliott & @rebeccagrayphoto , thank you.
⠀
Still blows my mind to see so many inspiring people in one room. Speaking to Ant & Dec absolute TV royalty was surreal. And seeing David Suchet in person? Just incredible. Also the Gavin & Stacey full cast 🤯
⠀
I think about everyone who’s ever booked me, from birthday parties to nightclubs, thank you for believing in me. You helped get me here.
⠀
Can’t wait for the weddings ahead this year and all the amazing people I’ve yet to meet. I truly love what I do, and I hope that comes through in every frame.
⠀
Thanks for reading.

@sianmina & @draidancaulfield 🤍

What a fab day with these two! The girls were a great laugh in the morning, followed by a lovely ceremony at St Peter’s. But the wee star of the show had to be their son, Oran ❤️

As soon as he spotted his mum, he ran down the aisle to meet her 🥹 And from then on, he was giving us “cheese!” all day. Absolutely brilliant!

Then it was over to @cottiersweddingsandevents for fantastic speeches, a great meal and a dance floor that was packed! Such a lovely family and such a pleasure to be part of it all.

Thank you so much for having me, Sian & Aidan. Here’s a wee sneak peek of your day 📸

@claire.mccartney_ & @r0ss_mccartney 🤍

Absolutely fab to be back photographing a wedding in my home town Kirkintilloch, and what a day these two gave us!

After meeting me at another wedding, Claire got in touch asking which Saturdays I had free in September because she wanted me to photograph theirs. Honestly, things like that blow me away. Being trusted with your wedding day is something I’ll never take for granted ❤️

We had laughs from the morning onwards, with Claire’s dad John keeping the dad jokes coming 😂 Then a lovely Mass at Holy Family & St Ninian’s before heading to the Radstone to get the celebrations going!

These two got to enjoy their full drinks reception with everyone, we grabbed a few photos before dinner, and then it was straight into a brilliant night with The Soundtrax keeping the party going 🙌

Ross sent me a wee message afterwards saying, “Loads of my family were buzzing you took the time to chat to them and have a laugh.”

That means so much. Getting to know your people and having a laugh with them is one of my favourite parts of this job.

Claire & Ross, thanks so much for choosing me and making me feel so welcome. Loved being part of it. Here’s a wee look at your fantastic day! 🥂

@mhairimcfarlane & @arronmcquade 🤍

Honestly… what a day.

I’ve known Mhairi’s family for around 20 years, so getting to photograph this one was pretty special. From the minute I arrived at Lochgreen until the minute I left, the energy was absolutely unbelievable.

Mhairi looked incredible. Absolutely stunning. And Mhairi and the girls brought the energy from the very start — what a brilliant bunch.

And Arron… what a guy 😂 Arron and the boys were an absolute riot and had me laughing all day. Loved every minute with this lot.

The whole day just had everything the people, the emotion, the laughs, the party and an atmosphere that never dropped once. One of those weddings where you genuinely don’t want to leave.

I’m absolutely delighted to share a wee sneak peek from an incredible day at Lochgreen House Hotel.

Mhairi & Arron, thank you so much for having me along. I loved every part of it and wish you both nothing but the absolute best.

Now go and have the most unbelievable time on your safari honeymoon! 🦁🌍🥂

Long may the party continue. ❤️

What. A. DAY. 🤍🔥

@caitlinkinlochx & @_craigkinloch … where do I even start?!

From the moment I walked through the doors, you could tell this was going to be some wedding and you absolutely did not disappoint! 😂

The morning girls were already bringing the energy, the ceremony was beautiful, funny and heartfelt thanks to Clare, and then it was basically GAME ON! 🕺💃

And @wearetartan … 😮‍💨🔥
Honestly, out of this world.

Then there was the absolute genius that is @euanlawrence . Mate… 🤯
The tunes. The timing. The energy. Dropping the right song at exactly the right moment all night long. It was genuinely a nonstop party, and what a laugh everyone had!

Every single person was up for it, the weather played ball, and I was absolutely buzzing to be back at The Engine Works what a venue!

It was also brilliant working alongside @paperringscollective and getting to see them capturing all the madness from a content creator’s perspective. 📸🎥

And then I get a message from Caitlin…

“Oh John, they are absolutely amazing…” 🥹❤️

That’s exactly why I love what I do.

Caitlin & Craig, thank you for letting me be part of it. You two, your families and your friends were an absolute joy from start to finish.

What. A. Wedding. ❤️

Honestly, we’ll take that! 😂

What a day for @abbie.mcdonald1 & @haydanmcdonald1 🤍🥂

A stunning day from start to finish at the beautiful @cornhillcastle , with a lovely ceremony from Jacqueline, the humanist celebrant. 🤍

And what a crowd! What a laugh we all had. From the ceremony and all the photos, to the speeches, dancing and partying on into the night — it was an absolute belter of a day!

Abbie & Haydan, thank you so much for having me along to capture it all. It was an absolute pleasure, and I hope these photographs bring back all the laughs, madness and memories for years to come. 📸❤️
