RIP Dolly. This is my favorite song written by her. “I couldn’t wait forever” 1970. I love this song because I’ve lived it. She was one of the great song writers of country music and beyond. by @johnfalvo

Doug Sahm “It’s Gonna Be Easy”. I learned this one in the past two days. I went to All Good Cafe Thursday. There are so many signed posters by him on the walls. There’s also a big Son Volt poster in the bathroom, they do a cover of this song. Look up why he left Texas for California, same kinda sad business today. This one is really fun to sing. A Texas Legend. I saw his grave last time I was in San Antonio. He’s buried a few graves from Red River Dave. I wonder if they were buddies? taken in Dallas, Texas by @johnfalvo

An old friend is visiting town, she showed me this photo at her mother’s house. She has all the photos of me from my youth. Glad we got to say hi and catch up. This photo is 20 years old. I was 22. This was an OG shirt. 1986 Beach Party Tour. I got it in San Francisco on a family trip at 16. It was stolen from me twice. I was visiting texas theater while visiting dallas from NYC, over 10 years ago, and the second thief was wearing it at the function. Lol. I decided not to take it off his back. I had to taper it because the first culprit stretched it out. Did y’all ever taper your shirts? I had a good run with it. 😂 taken in Dallas, Texas by @johnfalvo

Kathryn and I, a little over 20 years ago. That Dallas shirt with balloons was hilarious. I lived in Austin at the time. I wore that shirt to troll the people there. If I said I was from Dallas, people would say “Oh, I’m sorry”. Lol. Amon Duul II was my fav band then. I was just getting into prog and psych, finally breaking out of punk and metal. 8 years No Alcohol Today! A little over 7 years No Cigs. Been exercising a lot lately. Life still ain’t perfect, but I have a lot more self respect. One day at a time. If you feel stuck, you aren’t.
