Started putting ink into skin back in 2008 in Newquay Cornwall.

I was 18 years old, hand-poking crude punk tattoos on myself and my friends. I messed around with a coil machine I kept hidden under my bed for a few years, until eventually I got my foot in the door of a proper tattoo shop.

Back then, life was tattooing, heavy metal and way too much drinking 😂

Along the way I met some awesome young artists, made great friends and learned a fuck load of new techniques.

Then I met my partner, Cheyenne. I fell in love — but that’s another story ❤️ — and moved to the big city of London.

That’s when things started getting serious. Doors opened, opportunities came, and somehow nearly 12 years in London have flown by.

There’s been a lot of success, a few distractions, plenty of lessons, a fuck load of good friends, and one solid woman who has always been by my side.

Looking back at that 18-year-old kid scratching punk tattoos into his mates, I never could have imagined the life tattooing would give me.

I’m at peace with where the journey has taken me, and forever thankful for every person who’s trusted me, supported me, worked alongside me or been part of it in any way.

Thank you.

Would you trust me with your whole leg? 👀

This piece started with my client’s idea and references. We took the time to talk everything through, then I drew the design and we worked on it together until we were both completely happy with the direction.

I wanted plenty of solid black in the right places to create the light, while keeping the mid-tones simple so the design stays bold and easy to read.

The red sun with no black outline was the cherry on top. 🔴It gave the whole piece the striking finish it needed, don’t you think?
