POSTS STORIES REELS
In 2021 I noticed a major shift in the way so many media and entertainment studios were going about film production. There was this shared desire and push towards filming using virtual production - and I wanted to join the forefront of what seemed and is exciting technology. This is the v2 of a virtual camera tracker (Project AVA) I created from the ground up early last year as an R&D project to dive into and learn the Unreal Engine pipeline. I have been blessed over the past year to have shared and collaborated on ideas with so many talented individuals including the @unrealengine team at @epicgames - I hope to release a v4 update in the future!! #unrealengine #unrealengine5 #ue5 #virtualproduction #studio #3dart #3d #realtime #technology #create #rnd #nvidia #unreal by @johnmakar

Trying out the AR-51 Markerless Motion Capture system . . Disclaimer: AR-51 recommends for best results to have 8 cameras and we’re only using 4 in our configuration. . #motioncapture #reseaerchanddevelopment #computervision #machinelearning #machinevision #preformancecapture #mocap #ar51 #mocapunleashed #ue5 #unrealengine by @johnmakar
The go to motion capture setup when we wanna keep it stupid simple: > Zed2i Cameras (1-4 cameras depending on your space) > Single Machine for Markerless computation (We use our software tool, MoCapKit) > A Render Node for visualizing your data how you want (Unreal, Unity, TouchDesigner) . . . #motioncapture #preformancecapture #computervision #machinevision #machinelearning #ue5 #unrealengine #unity3d #touchdesigner by @johnmakar

Meet CTRL. #CTRL is an all systems control center that has been my brainchild and at the center of a many of my projects for the last couple of months. Ranging from Motion Control (MoCo) to Motion Capture (MoCap), CTRL handles all real-time communication and control commands between all system endpoints. - I hope to share more as these projects evolve. by @johnmakar
