Summer’s almost gone. Come play, film the magic, and leave with photos that hit different. Albuquerque’s waiting… but not for long.

You taught me what strength looks like long before I ever stepped into a ring. No matter what life threw your way, you kept moving forward. You sacrificed, adapted, and did whatever needed to be done for our family without ever asking for recognition.

Watching your resilience taught me how to face adversity. Watching your kindness taught me how to treat people. Watching your determination taught me to never quit when things get hard.

Thank you for always being in my corner, believing in me when I doubted myself, and loving me through every win and every loss. If I carry myself with strength today, it’s because I learned from the strongest person I’ve ever known. Shout out to Mother Teresa🤍

Saturday night didn’t go my way and that’s okay there’s no excuses. I gave everything I had, learned a lot, and gained experience that can’t be taught any other way. I had the opportunity to share with the ring with an absolute warrior, and I have mad respect for my opponent and the war that he brought💪🏽

Thank you to everyone who supported me, believed in me, and stood in my corner. This loss doesn’t define me it sharpens me. I’ll take the lessons, get back to work, and come back better.

The story isn’t over👑

Johnny Tapia Jr. @johnny_jlt is back in the ring this Saturday at Leo's, courtesy of Tapia Boxing Promotions. The young fighter made a statement in his pro debut back in January, finishing his opponent in the first round with a knockout — and celebrating with a backflip, just like his father.

I visited Tapia Jr. at Pitbull Torres Gym this week and he is looking sharp, focused, and determined to keep honoring the legacy of his father, the legendary 5x world champion Johnny "Mi Vida Loca" Tapia.

This Saturday's card will feature both pro and amateur bouts. Weigh-ins are this Friday at the Tapia Fight Lounge. Come out and support Tapia Boxing Promotions. The legacy is just getting started. taken in Albuquerque, New Mexico by @johnny_jlt
