Colleen & I have given every minute of the last 11 years of our lives to keep Johnny alive. Every minute!!! Our lives, we wouldn't wish on the worst people on planet earth!!! Taking care of a stage 4 high risk pediatric cancer patient for over a decade is something that not everyone can do, and that's putting it mildly!!! There's a reason why Johnnys story is so well known and respected internationally!!! We fought tooth and nail for the very best !! We sacrificed everything without hesitation!!! Our only thought process was getting him the very best treatment ASAP !!!
Selling houses, cashing in 401 ks , asking successful friends for help was easy, what wasnt easy was seeing our gorgeous baby boy go through 70+ rounds of chemo and radiation! Advanced MIBG treatments, emergency brain tumor removal, and living in hospitals for years. Over 220 times under anesthesia!!! Going into anaphylactic shock and almost not making it !!!Traveling all over the country for the next best possibility for him is exhausting, expensive & very scary !!! But guess what, thats what you do !!!! We are beyond grateful for his strength, courage and will to live!!! Our support system is amazing!! Unfortunately everyone can not be saved!!! My Childhood best friend of 35 years has made it his MISSION to help VETERANS get whatever they need to be successful, contributing members of society after deployments, missions and everyday Military members of the United States of America 🇺🇸 Today was a good day!!! Our beautiful baby boy #Johnnystrong💪 has just reached another milestone!!! He was just deemed cancer free for a 6th time by the BEST DOCTORS in the country for Stage 4 HIGH RISK NMYC NEUROBLASTOMA!!! Arguably the most horrific and deadly childhood cancer ever!! This news although incredibly positive, most importantly allows us to travel to Manhattan NYC's Sloan Kettering to take our next step in fighting Johnnys disease!!! You see his fight might NEVER be over as he is the ONLY CHILD who's fought this fight time & time again with stage 4 high risk Neuroblastoma and is still alive today 11 years later !!! Only thing he knows , is childhood Cancer ! Usually children with childhood cancer either beat the odds and live a good life, or go to heaven!!! There are virtually NO children like Johnny !!! Literally NONE ... He has been at it since he was 7 months old ! By the grace of god he is still with us after a life no one in their right minds would ever imagine! If you want to root for someone, if you want to get behind an underdog, Its #Johnnystrong💪

After 11 years of Stage 4 pediatric cancer treatments, many relapses, ups & downs, heartache & tears!!! We recently received a true gift from God! Johnnys recent body scan results showed that his Nueroblastoma has been almost completely wiped out !!! As always, we still have work to do. He will do 2 more rounds of treatment in Boston & then will begin a new preventative/maintenance trial in New York this summer back at Sloan Kettering!
However this past long weekend, we were able to slip away and forget about hospitals & cancer for a bit to one of our favorite get aways, Sanibel Island Florida! We had one the most AMAZING WEEKENDS EVER !!! Johnny swam in the pool, Ocean & had to be peeled away from the water slide everyday!!! It was one of the greatest family vacations we have had, certainly in a Very Long Time! A huge shoutout to our Medical team for preparing him for this journey, and FINALY saying yes !!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Thank you again the #JOHNNYSTRONG ARMY for ALWAYS having his back !!! Today is SCAN DAY !!!! Johnny just turned 11 years old on FEBRUARY 21st ! It also marks his eleventh year battling this God Awful Disease! Stage 4 High Risk nmyc Neuroblastoma
Let me tell you, it doesn't get any easier!!!! Today we pray to god we get the results we are looking for ! Another AMAZING EVENT put on by @coremedhrt @core.med.foundation @sjgcore MILITARY APPRECIATION WEEKEND in Beaufort South Carolina. Pistol and machine gun days at the range with elite special forces instructors!!! Archery courses, self defense, medical trauma courses, kids events, incredible food and a lot more. Most importantly, relationships are made with meaningful conversations that have helped transform peoples lives !! 11 Years Ago Today, you made Our Little Family Complete !!! We welcomed you with open hearts & open arms. The most beautiful blue eyed baby boy with the face of an angel ! We were on top of the world, having our little girl Madi and our little boy John Patrick. This feeling although Incredible & Amazing, would only last 7 months. Then all our lives would take a dramatic turn that would chamge our lives FOREVER!!!! Seeing any child Diagnosed with stage 4 cancer at a young age is heartbreaking, seeing our own newborn was Absolutely Gutwrenching!!!! Fast forward to today February 21, 2026 with over 60 plus rounds of chemo and 60 plus rounds of radiation, stem cell stransplants, MIBG, dozens of surgeries, under anesthesia over 200 times, 3 near death experiences and so much more !!! You're 11 years old and still fighting as I write this !!! Chemo two weeks ago and radiation this week!!! It hasn't been easy for anyone Especially YOU Johnny !!!! We thank God for you each & everyday as you are a gift from ABOVE. What you have taught us about LIFE STRENGTH COURAGE HARD WORK DETERMINATION & A WILL TO LIVE can never be duplicated !!!!! Today you are Just our Son, brother, grandson nephew and cousin!!! Not a cancer patient, today you are a smiling birthday boy on a Trampoline holding balloons and eating cake & Ice Cream !!!! But one thing is for sure, EVERYDAY YOU ARE OUR HERO !!!!!!!

It hasn't been easy watching Our Beautiful Blue Eyed Boy Fight Stage 4 High Risk Nmyc Neuroblastoma for the last 123 MONTHS !!!!
Heartbreaking 💔 Gut wrenching, Just Not Fair!!! But it's days like this, Christmas Eve Day, spending 8-9 hours going back and forth from @danafarber @thejimmyfund To @bostonchildrens For scans, blood transfusions etc That KEEP US GOING !!!!!!!!!
A HUGE THANK to @bostonfiredepartment @bostonfirefighters @bostonfirecancerfndn who showed up in full force today at 300 Longwood !!!!! The very best of the BEST !!!
