Happiest trips around the sun to the greatest boy/teen/son ever. So proud of u, Dallas. The kindness, warmth and intelligence is unparalleled. Love u kiddo. Excited to celebrate b-day week!! πŸŽ‚πŸŽ‚πŸ†πŸ†πŸ–€πŸ–€@meshele14 by @johnnyt99
The ferocity and beauty that Kurt made in a short time can never be understated. Your mark was made and still holds up today, 32 years later. Its strange to think of being 16 but what a glorious time listening to the best music of the time with your best mates and not thinking about anything but those moments. The music always will provide the memories. Thanx Kurt. Remembering the 🐐 today. Check on your friends... R.I.P. K.C. πŸ–€ #KurtCobain #Nirvana #TheGoat #RIPKurtCobain #90s 1994 by @johnnyt99

Top Albums of 2025 🀘 Always in honor of my man Pete K @truedepravity (God rest) but also because new music is almost the heartbeat of life to keep us going and our senses to the grindstone of what's current. Whether it's the OG artists or the newcomers making some new noise, it helps the soul stay fresh. The greatest band EVER Deftones destroyed in 2025 with their 10th album #PrivateMusic. Montrously heavy sounds and fresh atmospheric takes on this album. Front to back. What an amazing time for the band and us, the loyalists. 🀘🐍 Sleep Token, Spiritbox, Turnstile and Deafheaven all held it down for heavy music with amazing new albums. Another OG band came back huge with their Gothic forward release. New AFI was a delight. Enjoy friends. A pleasure to share the takes on the sounds. #Topalbumsof2025 Deftones - Private Music Sleep Token - Even In Arcadia Spiritbox- Tsunami Sea AFI - Silver Bleeds the Black Sun Deafheaven - Lonely People W/ Power Turnstile- Never Enough The Last Dinner Party - Prelude to Ecstasy Thornhill - Bodies Dayseeker - Creature In The Black Night Sunday (1994) - S/T The Barbarians of California- And Now I'm Just Gnashing My Teeth Bilmiri - American Motor Sports (420CC Edition) Sombr - Barely Know Her Architects - the Sky, the Earth and All Between by @johnnyt99

So proud of all you have accomplished in such a shirt time and its just beginning for u. Hope u enjoy your day, buddy. We love u very much. @meshele14 πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ¦‡πŸ¦‡πŸŽ‚πŸŽ‚ #babyboy #bestson by @johnnyt99
The greatest of all-time @deftones were Friday night's headliner at the @shakykneesfest in Atlanta and we were fortunate to make the trip. My guys had a career spanning setlist with some classics and then played 3 new jams from their amazing new album, Private Music. And of course, one of my favorites here. It's wonderful to see them recognized in such a monumental light as their having a huge moment right now (even if there are some rookies lingering at their shows, ladies...). Still well deserved and they are bringing it for their sets. Until 2026, hopefully u all are running it back, gentlemen. Great to see u again and always. #Deftones #ChinoStefAbeChiFrank #PrivateMusic #shakykneesfest πŸ€˜πŸ€˜πŸ¦‡πŸ¦‡ by @johnnyt99
@nineinchnails giving lessons on how the Rock show is done. The visuals, sonics and presence was unmatched. Trent is still vital, sounds great and the band was punishing. What a setlist with some surprises and then the hits were bangin' harder. Amazing night and escape from the world. 🀘πŸ”₯#peelitbacktour2025 #NIN #Tampa by @johnnyt99
How amazing is it for a band @deftones to have released an album 30 years ago and then release a new album today and still remain one of the most highly anticipated albums of the year or last few years. But also, to never disappoint bc of who they are.Β  This is because their energy got turned up πŸ’―. How does a band thrive over 30 years into their career and deliver a rocket of an album? #Privatemusic is truly unparalleled in terms of how stellar this album is. The heavy bangers are there with "Cut Hands" and "Ecdysis" (@fredsablan is sick on this one) which is as heavy as it gets with breakdowns and Chino going wild from the intro and first single "Mind is a Mountain" to the dreamy "Infinite Source" and bouncy banger "Milk of the Madonna" showing new bands that pull from them as inspiration like Loathe and Sleep Token, truly how the shoegaze and heavy formula is done. It's as if there is a familiarity in the songs but really different. The energy is huge on every song. The trifacta of albums done with producer Nick Raskulinecz is comparable to a Cure trifacta of Pornography/Disintegration/Bloodflowers on steroids. It's not lost on the listener that the wonder is, will there be another record sooner than 5 years? So cherish the moments of sonic bliss for the monolithic Steph riffs, the beautiful and spacey brand of heavy landscapes that Deftones, the greatest ever to never be pigeonholed has offered right now. Chino sounds completely refreshed with his vocal performance on this album. Abe of course is showing why he is the most underrated best drummer in rock and then of course my man Steph just destroyed guitars on this. I know I likely sound biased, but this is album of the year. See you in ATL, gentlemen. #Deftones ##ChinoStefAbeChiFrank #chinostefabechifrankfred ##Privatemusic #Albumoftheyear #NeverAIhelpinwriting by @johnnyt99

Thank you to the GOAT of all things Heavy and arguably the greatest frontman @ozzyosbourne. Without your creepy and unusual but stellar vocals and music, an entire genre would not be what its been for over 5 decades. Evil music was always way more fun. πŸ€˜πŸ¦‡ Growing up and hearing about this "Ozzy," I was intrigued and the deep dive began. From the wild and legendary stories of mayhem to breaking in amazing guitarists to having new bands and breaking them in on tours. Your presence was always relevant in the scene. Always looked forward to many Ozzfests in the summertime when one could bear that festival all day life. Like Bowie, TP and Eddie before you, this is a hard one. Hope you're at peace, Prince of Darkness. Big love. Jamming classics and many more from the Discogs louder than usual today. πŸ™πŸ’”πŸ¦‡ God rest, Ozzy. #RIPOzzy by @johnnyt99
For the last 30 years since a dear friend gave me a copy of Adrenaline and said "this is for you, you're going to love this...,"until now, I've always wanted a proper documentary about the band that was authorized. I'd love to take part in it as my journalistic goals would be achieved on the greatest scale but this interview is exactly what I needed in terms of all members sitting down and talking about the music, friendships, influences, journeys through their career and about their fallen brother Cheng. It's always been about the band, no outsiders. Just what you see in this interview. Tremendous flowers go to @zanelowe for his eloquent disposition of the songs he speaks of and compare/contrast to kindred soul artists like @depechemode and @radiohead which are an obvious influence on the band. Again, this band over the last 30 years have managed to stay ahead of the current without falling into trends, all while becoming one of the biggest bands in 2025 but on their terms. Excited for the new release and hearing the "soundscapes" live a few more times. Thank you @deftones and @zanelowe for pleasing the Day 1s and the OG fans with this. πŸ™πŸ€˜ #Deftones #Privatemusic Always #chinostefabechifrank πŸ†πŸ by @johnnyt99
@deftones Private Music, 8.22.25. I can't express the excitement that this band brings when they are coming back out with new music. One single "My Mind is a Mountain" released a couple hours ago and it's already on the 12th playthrough. I cannot wait for this. Variants ordered. πŸ€˜πŸ† Always #chinostefabechifrank #Deftones the greatest ever. #PrivateMusic by @johnnyt99
