To everyone who joined us last weekend on our maiden run of DRAMA shows, WE ADORE YOU! It’s been so long since we’ve toured and shared new music, I’d almost forgotten how essential it is for us all to get together and share space through live music. We’re back baby!
Huge thank you to @zionariley for joining us on this run. Check out her music if you haven’t already. It is so pure and transportive.
We begin our next chapter of the DRAMA tour in just a few weeks this November so please get your tickets in advance on my site so you don’t miss out, follow me on streaming services to get a reminder of the show when it comes to your town, and get all your pals together. We’re also so excited to have the incredible @johngallagherjunior as our special guest on this run, and it being spooky season, as a bonus, make sure you follow him for his most excellent scary movie recs!
See you all in November!

Here’s a little of my surfy-y take on Del Shannon’s “Runaway” for you. Just a little Strat content on Tele Tuesday. 😂

For my fellow gear heads out there: I recently managed to strip the threads in the stock tremolo block on this guitar, so I upgraded to a @callahamguitars block. I love it! It gives you better action/response from the bar. It’s eliminates the “lag” or “catch” you experience with a stock Strat trem. It’s smoother and more touch-sensitive. It can do more subtle stuff like a Bigbsy or a Jazzmaster trem. And since this Strat also has a @hipshotproducts Tremsetter that @jgradinger installed for me a while back, it can also do more extreme stuff that gets into dive-bomb territory. If I wanted to get any more extreme, I’d need a Floyd Rose. 🤘😈

I decided to forgo the use of the string tree, since this guitar came stock with staggered, locking tuners, and that’s made a real improvement in the tuning stability of the 1st and 2nd strings. The Callaham block was super easy to install myself, even with the Tremsetter in there. Callaham makes great stuff!

Hope to see some Memphis friends this Sunday, October 4 at @hueysrestaurant Poplar, 3-6. As always, you can keep up with all my shows and tour dates at johnpaulkeith.com. #strat #stratocaster #surfguitar #guitar #fender taken in Memphis, Tennessee by @johnpaulkeith

Thank you, @nicoleatkins for inviting me to be a part of this unforgettable experience last night at the Grand Ole Opry, and thank you to our surprise guest @chrisisaak for making her @opry debut even more special.

As always, @dannybanksdrummer killed it. The staff were wonderful, and it was a pleasure working with the incredible Opry band.

And I’m so glad @joannadgerolamo was able to be there with me, and my cousin @m.f.keith who took these snaps. I’m sure we will have more photos and clips to share soon. What a night!
