After giving medicine for her sick son, “MR. AGES” escorts a grateful “MRS. BRISBY” out of his laboratory in the Animated Feature “THE SECRET OF NIMH”. This is a portion of my animated pencil test, followed by the final color version. “ELIZABETH HARTMAN” was the voice for “Mrs. Brisby” & “ARTHUR MALET” voiced by”Mr. Ages”. Wonderfully talented performers. “BANJO THE WOODPILE CAT”, was produced by Myself, Gary Goldman & Don Bluth. Created in Don’s garage & funded by the three of us. While we we learning our craft at Disney Studios, we learned about the “business” of animation production from Banjo. Ultimately it showcased our ability to a Chicago Investor who funded our next project “THE SECRET OF NIMH”. This scene of mine from Banjo is a moment where one of the main characters, “CRAZY LEGS” (voiced by SCATMAN CROTHERS) prays for help to get little Banjo home. My thanks to SCAD (Savannah College of Art & Design) for furnishing me with scans of my original drawings. “PRISMA” singing “CRYSTAL CLEAR” in the “MYSTIC ISLES” Episode of Disney’s “SOFIA THE FIRST”. In this Rough Pencil Test I animated the camera move with her climbing the stairs to her throne.
