RIP Angry 😞 it’s a terribly sad day as we lost another legend. A champion bloke who influenced so many with the mighty Rose Tattoo. These photos were only taken late last year he was in great spirits and chatty as ever! Was always fun! Rest well by @johnriot42

It’s always great to catch up with me old friends in @anthrax known and worked with these awesome guys for over 20 years. First pic is the one of my all time faves, Kerry King of Slayer, Scott from Anthrax and Jericho himself! The next 3 are from last night the rest are a few from over the years inc. Scott wearing Jericho’s lit jacket on their spoken word tour, Scott noodling on Angus Young’s guitars at a Sydney AC/DC show and my legendary 😂 gorilla press on former Guitarist Danny Spitz many years ago. The music world lost another legend in Phil Campbell. I was blessed to have worked with him on a few albums and here on a few @officialmotorhead tours and was looking forward to seeing him again last week but unfortunately Phil’s health prevented him from touring. One of the funniest people I have met and an absolutely genuine human and a trailblazer of a guitarist. RIP Phil I send my love to all his close friends and family 🕊️ by @johnriot42

Known this guy for over 20 years @sebastianbach and after watching him perform last Saturday at 57 his voice is better then ever! Absolutely killing it! There aren’t many like him. From touring with @gunsnroses to solo tours and releasing albums, doing TV and radio there are always stories and memories from each encounter that make me laugh! Hopefully back here sooner rather than later! Guest appearances in photos from Axl Rose, Angry Anderson, Larry Emdur, Kylie Gillies, Ugly Phil and more by @johnriot42

This one is hard to process, because Ace was one of my idols growing up and he was in a band that didn’t even seem real, let alone a band you could get even close to meeting. I met him on Kiss tours and worked with Ace on a few albums, released one myself and then spent a bit of time with him on his 2010 Australian Tour. We went for dinner a few times and got on so well with him.

Fast track to 2015 Ace reached out directly to me and asked me to look after him on his 2015 Australia and NZ tour. and I spent 3 weeks on the road with just Ace & his partner. The band and crew travelled and stayed separately. It was one of the most insane experiences of my life in more ways than one, positive and negative. I drove Ace to and from airports, hotels and shows, I ate meals with him, got rid of punishers, took him to casino’s and most of the time it was just us 2. The most insane thing was I got to announce him on stage every night, who the f**k thought that would ever happen.

He was funny, charismatic and we had a blast and really got on great. We got close on that tour and he trusted me to look after him. We had some really enjoyable conversations and a lot of laughs. I celebrated his birthday with him in Brisbane. (More in comments) by @johnriot42

Heading into the Grand Final with these awesome lads! A team that nearly didn’t happen. Most of the team are doing their HSC and several were not going to play at all due the immense stress but I made them a deal to train only when they can and made study the priority and they decided to play and here we are! Battling serious injuries and suspensions they held it together to go on a 9 game unbeaten run to land a place in the Grand Final. So proud of this group. Some I’ve coached for years and some new players. One game to go. We’ve got this boys! by @johnriot42

RIP Brent Hinds of Mastodon. Such sad news to hear. I met Brent several times at festivals and gigs. Always engaging and a little wild and he lived a life! Here he is making a video cameo while I was filming Zakk & BLS at Soundwave. Sums him up. My thoughts are with his family and all those close to him. by @johnriot42
