For over two decades, the Johnson House proudly hosted the Philadelphia Juneteenth Festival, the city’s oldest. Tieshka K. Smith captured its essence through her lens for the past eight years.

This year, a special event unfolded as the Johnson House and Historic Germantown jointly presented the “Documenting the Philadelphia Juneteenth Festival in Germantown” exhibition.
