LC appreciation post.

One of the coolest vehicles I've ever owned. Sad to see her go, but excited for someone else to have an opportunity to enjoy. I have an incredibly hard time letting cars go, they become part of my family and honestly a bit of identity gets tied to them as well. But at the end of the day they are all things and meant to be held with an open hand.

10/10 would recommend

* I bought this one literally mid cross country trip when moving to mass , I had just sold another land cruiser back on the west coast and figured what better vehicle for the real winters of new england. The day after I got it home (mid September) someone stopped me and said "you're not going to drive that in the winter are you!" I told them that was the plan , and why not. This is when I was introduced to the concept of salting the roads. I grew up in Canada we get plenty of snow, but we use sand for friction, NE throws copious amounts of table seasoning on the road ... Seems silly, and turns out that ish will rot the frame right out from under you rig. So .... About 6 weeks later I had to park my beautiful new off-roader for the winter 😂 and buy a crap box to take the abuse. Thank you friend for warning me, no thank you new england for only about 10k kilometers in 4 years. by @johnsonkenny

Come to Philly with me...

I have loved cars for as long as I can remember. Specifically the weird ones. The rare ones. The ones you do not see every day.

If you know me at all, you know I have a hard time being normal. For a long time I probably tried to push that part of myself down a little. Somewhere in the years since high school, I decided to let it flourish. Some would argue a little too successfully.

Cars have always been one of my favorite forms of self expression. Old, rare, inconvenient, difficult to find, difficult to own (am I projecting!?!) If there is something special about it, I am probably interested.

A couple months ago I said goodbye to my childhood dream car. I owned my E46 M3 for more than 10 years. I grew up infatuated with that car, specifically in Laguna Seca Blue, and buying it was probably my first major adult purchase that had absolutely nothing to do with wisdom, practicality, or preparing for my future. I bought it simply because I loved it. It felt like me.

I will miss that car dearly, but saying goodbye opened the door for a new friend.

Enter the evo iii

Less than 5,000 ever built. None originally sold in the American market. More than 30 years old. Right hand drive. Weird, rare, inconvenient and absolutely wonderful.

There is something fun about owning things that feel genuinely special and increasingly difficult to replace. But I am also trying to hold all of this with an open hand. These cars might be an expression of my personality, but they are not my identity. They are still just things.

I am privileged beyond measure to get to enjoy them. I am grateful for everything I have been entrusted with, but eventually all of this passes away. Stuff is here to be used, enjoyed, shared, cared for, and hopefully used to create some great memories along the way.

So here is to stressing a little less about preserving everything perfectly and spending a little more time actually living.

Enjoy the things you have been given, choose them for you, be a little impractical for the purpose of fun, express yourself. Every once in a while, let your inner weirdo out. by @johnsonkenny

It is a beautiful realization to be exhausted by a life, role, or project you once prayed for...

Fittest of the Coast- TEAM!!!🪿🪿

Having the opportunity to go TEAM with my coach (and silly goose) @johnsonkenny for the second half of the weekend was seriously the biggest treat 🫶

Getting to talk strategy where he is directly involved and not orchestrating from afar was so exciting for us both :) And not to make this too sappy or anything, but I was such a proud athlete getting to watch coach absolutely crush everything he was nervous for 🥹💪

Working hard alongside important people to you is an experience I hope everyone seeks out in their life. No matter what the task is, it’s truly SO SPECIAL to do hard things with people you care about.

As the calendar turns, I get back to my favorite thing in the world: coaching my athletes in person. Watching them take the floor, executing on their preparation, and fighting through the moments that dont go according to plan, fills me with a kind of joy I can’t really explain. I’m proud of them, never just for results, but for the way they show up, the way they respond, and the way they keep going.

I’m right there with them feeling the pressure. I put a lot on myself as a coach. I care deeply, and I feel every win and every loss. I usually leave a weekend like that proud of some things and aware I have work to do in others. The standard doesn’t just apply to them. We review, we talk, we own what we need to own, and we get back to work. That’s what makes @endlesstrainingco a team. We give one another honest feedback, we demand that we all get better, and we don’t mistake wins for growth or losses for failure. We become better together than we ever could be on our own.

2025 ... Witness.

It’s hard to explain what a year like this does to you.

January started in the deep end at Wodapalooza, the biggest crew I’ve ever brought to one competition. The pace was relentless, the highs were high, and it set a tone I didn’t fully understand yet.

Somewhere between airports and warm up floors, Endless grew up. We made a real hire. We added Daija. We got more serious about the work, and the work got more serious back.

Then came the part no one posts about as much. March reminded me how quickly the story can change. Jessi’s season took a turn, and instead of quitting, she chose the hard road. That kind of fight marks you if you let it. (Be sure to peep the three podiums she topped after a major setback.)

Spring and summer blurred into a string of places and people I won’t forget. A surprise visit in Canada. Semifinals. The first year of WFP (I got to be at all three stops). NorCal Classic, Metcon Rush, and weekends that felt like proof that champions are built differently.

August was unreal. Kim wins the CrossFit Games for the second time. Another WFP stop. Another reminder that you don’t get to moments like that by accident. You get there by building lasting trust that is years in the making.

September brought SoCal Wodapalooza and Bella repeating as champ. October, Hege wins Functional Fitness Nationals. November took me to Scotland with Chandler at Rogue. December finished in Denmark at the World Fitness Finals.

A lot of podiums. A lot of lessons. A lot of miles.

The biggest growth wasn’t in the results. It was in the people. In the trust that deepened. In the resilience that got tested and stayed intact. In the quiet confidence that comes from doing the work over and over again.

I’m grateful. Not for a perfect year, but for a real one.

To the athletes that trusted me, thank you. We keep building. We keep learning. We keep showing up.

For the final time this year I was on the sidelines doing the only thing I know how to do, passionate and shameless rooting for people I care about.

My hope is that I made you feel important, that someone cared about you and your success. I’m under no illusions, I know each of you would be successful without me. You’re too dedicated, too focused, too incredible to fail. I pray that I highlighted your achievements, celebrated your victories, mourned your defeats, and helped carry your bags. (literal and metaphorically) Your wins are your wins, I just hope I made them a little brighter.

For one last time this year, congratulations to all of the athletes that invite me into their corners (or get voluntold) I promise I did my best. If nothing else I pray you feel supported and that the really loud guy just likes you a lot.
