“Untold: Mr. T — I Pity the Fool” is streaming now on Netflix, part of Untold Vol. 5. I was the Director of Photography. Scott Weintrob directed.

The origin story of Laurence Tureaud — before the mohawk, before the gold, before Rocky III and The A-Team. The kid from the South Side of Chicago who became one of the most recognizable figures in American pop culture.

Having grown up in Chicago myself, it was a privilege to help tell the story of a true legend.

We are positively giddy with the news that our lil’ film about Ai companions in a not too distant future is the grand prize winner of the 11th Annual Stage 32 Short Film Contest!!!

Feeling especially emotional after reading this from Stage 32:
“Our judges (through every round of judging) were floored with your visual storytelling, your filmmaking prowess, your actors, editing, cinematography, and score. What an incredible film, Lisa, and we are honored to have it be our Grand Prize winner this year - you’ve had quite a journey and I couldn’t be happier to write this email to you. A heartfelt congratulations goes out to you!”

THANK YOU @stage32 @hollyshorts and shout out to the entire cast, crew, our supporters, and viewers!

Stay tuned for more deets on how you can attend our screening at the Stage 32 Short Film Program at the 2026 Hollyshorts Film Festival.

What we know for sure: Hollyshorts will be opening the festival with the Stage 32 block of films screening on Thursday, August 13th @ 5 PM live.

We met the lovely actress @jennykantsjoe at a Cannes mixer on Wednesday and she humbled us by coming to our screening Wednesday evening. Her review lets us know our intended message was received and experienced throughout the film. For us, the best stories are the ones that tug the heartstrings AND make us laugh. Thanks, Jenny! We’re so happy to have met you in Cannes!
