Happy 17th Birthday to my amazing daughter, Amber! ❤️🎉

What a way to celebrate 17! Bruno Mars in Los Angeles with Joe, followed by an incredible night worshiping with Phil Wickham, front row and center! And getting to have Joe with us for your birthday makes it even more special.

But as amazing as the concerts have been, my favorite part has simply been getting to spend this time together and make memories I hope we’ll all carry for a lifetime. ❤️

Amber, I hope you know how incredibly proud I am of the young woman you’re becoming. You’re strong, beautiful, intelligent, and capable of so much more than you realize. Watching you grow up has been one of the greatest blessings of my life.

Seventeen years have gone by far too quickly. Sometimes I wish I could slow time down, hold onto these moments a little longer, and keep you my little girl forever. But I also can’t wait to see the life God has planned for you and the woman you’ll continue to become.

No matter how old you get, where life takes you, or how much things change, you will always be my little girl, and I will always be your dad. Nothing will ever change that.

Happy birthday, sweetheart. I love you more than words could ever express, and I’m so thankful God chose me to be your father. ❤️

21 years ago, God gave me one of the greatest gifts of my life.

My son.

@joewmurphy, I hope you know how incredibly proud I am of the man you are becoming. Not because you have everything figured out. Not because life has always been easy. But because I have watched you keep going. Keep searching. Keep loving. Keep believing. Keep getting back up.

I’ve watched your faith become your own. I’ve watched you wrestle with God, run toward Him, question things, and keep seeking Him through it all. And I believe with everything in me that God is still writing your story.

There is so much life ahead of you, buddy. So many people you haven’t met yet. So many places you haven’t been. So many prayers you haven’t seen answered. So many moments that will someday make you grateful you kept going.

You are loved more than you know.

By your family.
By your dad.
And most importantly, by a God who knew your name long before I ever did.

I spent years thinking I was the one searching for God.

Then I realized something.

Every time I reached for Him, He had already reached for me.
Every time I ran back to Him, He was already waiting.
Every time I thought I had gone too far, His grace had gone farther.

Looking back, I can see His fingerprints all over my story.

In the victories.
In the failures.
In the prayers I prayed.
And even in the ones I didn’t.

Somehow, through it all, He remained exactly who He said He was.

Faithful.
Patient.
Merciful.
Good.

Not because my life was perfect.
Not because my faith was perfect.

Because He is.

Last night was something special.

Great music, powerful moments, and a reminder of what really matters… but honestly, the best part was experiencing it side by side with you, babe.
