Today was a HUGE day for my baby @tristynv11 … and for me. Today she officially started her new journey as a freshman in HIGH SCHOOL!! Yes… I just said HIGH SCHOOL!!! 🥹😭

As much as it makes me sad to see how fast she’s growing up, I’m also insanely proud of her. She worked so hard to get into one of the best performing arts schools on the West Coast, and now for the next four years she gets to be completely immersed in what she absolutely loves, surrounded by other young artists who share that same passion.

Side note… this school has a 1,000 seat theater with a SUNKEN ORCHESTRA PIT!! 😳😳

I’m so excited to watch her begin this next chapter, continue chasing her dreams, and most importantly, keep growing into the beautiful person she already is.

High school… HERE SHE COMES!!!! 🎉🥹🎭✨

Ohana means family. 🌺

Today is the day that changed our family’s life forever, the day you left us, Mom.

Even though you’re no longer here with us, we are so grateful that we can come visit your final resting place here in Kauai. It has become our favorite place on earth because it’s where we feel closest to you. Every time we’re here, we can feel your presence and your love that surrounds us.

We love you. We miss you. And not a day goes by that we don’t think about you Meemaw!

Rose Day 🌹, @rosedayusa, never disappoints. 🍷🌸

What makes events like this special isn’t the setting, the wine, or even the music…

It’s getting to spend an afternoon surrounded by genuinely good people.

Lots of laughs, lots of hugs, a little too much rosé, and a reminder that life’s best moments are usually the ones shared with great friends.

Today @tristynv11 graduated from 8th grade and officially completed middle school.

We couldn’t be more proud of the young woman she is becoming. Through hard work, dedication, kindness, and determination, she earned High honors with a 4.0 GPA and finished this chapter with so much to celebrate. 🍾 🎉🥳

Next stop: High School!! 😩

Keep dreaming big baby, keep working hard, and never forget how incredibly proud we are of you! You have already accomplished so much in your life… we seriously can’t wait to see what you do next!! 💕💕💕

Wednesday, June 1st, 1983. That’s the day you were born. That day is more than just a special day; it’s a day that would change my life forever.

You see, Wednesday is the day of the week that keeps the rest of the week together, just like you do for our family.

On that special day, I was 3 years old, living in a very broken home, already immersed in an atmosphere filled with complete fear and chaos.

Little did I know, approximately 1,234 miles away, God was forming the perfect angel. He would name her Krystal, which is extremely fitting because you are full of clarity, beauty, and most of all strength.

18 long years of adversity and heartbreak would pass before I was blessed to finally meet this absolute perfect angel.

I remember that day so clearly. I knew there was something different about you. God spoke to me and said, “meet your wife. She will help guide you, protect you, and keep you strong.”

As you recall, I told you, “You will be my wife one day.” Although at that time you thought I was crazy, I knew that it was written in the stars.

Now, more than 23 years together, I thank God every day that He created you 43 years ago, on that Wednesday.

I don’t know where I would be without you Krystal.

Just like your name, you exude so much purity and beauty inside and out.

You are my clarity when my eyes are clouded by uncertainty, and you are my ultimate strength when I feel like I can no longer move forward.

You are my Krystal… Nah…you are my Sam!!
