Got to meet one of my business idols tonight, 9 years after Martha inspired me to turn Curious Elixirs into a real business. I had been making Curious informally for parties for a while, but some lingering doubt was holding me back. While this internal debate carried on, I attended a talk by Martha in 2015.

The moderator asked her "Was there ever a time when you doubted yourself, when the chips were down, did you ever say 'This might not work out'?"

Without a beat, Martha said "Nope, never. Not once."

Her unshakeable confidence struck me like a bolt. I'm not a naturally confident person, but something told me that I could emulate Martha's confidence with Curious. Back then in 2015, America had zero sophisticated options for people who were cutting back on booze. So we had to create them.

Fast forward 9 years after that initial spark from Martha Stewart and the help of so many of you, Curious is enjoyed by millions of people in homes, restaurants, music venues, hotels, and events like the one where I met Martha, put on by the incomparable Joe Petrillo. Thanks to the two of them, things have come amazingly full circle.

Slowly but surely, Curious is helping transform how we drink socially, and a large part that is in the example set by business leaders like them.

Thanks Martha. Thanks Joe. And Thanks to Curious People everywhere.
