One month with Ryah girl 🌸

Oh what a story He is writing in her life. One of impossible things becoming possible. Hearts desires being held in unanswered seasons. Dread and fear being trampled by joy and peace.

Nearly three years of hoping to conceive. A name for a daughter that God had spoken before we even began to try, written in a journal years before. Babies waiting for us in heaven.

And then, all of a sudden, as he so often does - He began to speak into the void. Dream after dream after dream from loved ones and strangers began to be shared with us. God gave them pictures of me pregnant, of our arms full with a daughter. Our hearts were revived and full of hope again. Expectant for our girl.

Then it happened. In his perfect timing, he gave her to us. Redemption woven into every detail. Words he spoke to us aligning with dates that could never have been planned. Beautiful God details that I’ll share in time.

Upon her arrival, we saw God’s faithfulness on display in ways we wouldn’t choose but wouldn’t trade either. Facing moments where you have no other choice but to hold your baby with an open hand to the Lord is hard. But He is more near than I thought I knew. More understanding of my human heart than I realized. And more kind than I had hoped. He is mighty in power and the lifter of our heads.

When He acts, who can reverse it. It’s not by our might, nor by our power. But only by His spirit.
