Today I got reminded to appreciate my weight-loss journey 🤗

I have enjoyed testing my flexibility and mainly the downs of the scale. Lately I've ditch the scale and just been enjoying the yoga life daily.

I took yoga in college about 9yrs ago, which is where I fell in love and had an easy A. My teacher at TSU was teaching us like we would become teachers one day. She might have been ahead of her time as I've been more consistent and slowly building my abs 😊🧘🏾‍♀️

A cozy afternoon with the soon-to-be Chandlers ❤️

While the deluge soaked the streets of Asheville, we sought refuge in some of my favorite places downtown - making a record store date out of their engagement session before dancing through the Grove Arcade. The skies even cleared just long enough for the briefest of architectural tours, but it was their giggles all afternoon long that really made this session such a joy! I’ve known @joi.djm since we were first soccer teammates at age 6, so to see her absolutely shining with happiness was truly something special. taken in Downtown Asheville by @joi.djm

Y'all know I say it in yoga and I say it in financial sessions, same lesson, different rooms.

“You didn't know what you didn't know.” Not about the relationship. Not about the job. Not about the money.

Growing up in predominantly white neighborhoods and schools I am grateful this was the representation I got to see on June 19th

Then I attended HBCU, whom was founded on June 19th 1912

My love for today continues to grow more educated I become ✊🏾

Stop measuring your growth by where you aren't. 🔥

It's time to celebrate the little wins in every season. Didn't start for me until planning a wedding, one big day to celebrate us. I've been doing it in yoga and in business. Always pushing, rarely pausing to honor how far I've come.

This is your reminder, and mine to pause. To breathe. To celebrate the version of you who didn't quit.

A few months ago, I told one of my friends I wanted to start pitching in Q1 so I could become confident enough to walk onto any stage and own it.

Now here we are in Q2… actually doing it. 😌✨

Pitch Day stretched me in ways I didn’t expect. The anxiety was REAL, especially going last and sitting with my thoughts while waiting my turn. But once I got up there, the nerves slowly faded and were replaced with something stronger: support, connection, and gratitude.

The room was engaged, encouraging, and present. Every nod, smile, and conversation afterward reminded me why I keep showing up, not just for myself, but for the mission behind everything I’m building.

Growth really looks like deciding to do the thing before you feel fully ready.

From accountant ➝ founder ➝ speaker ➝ yogi ➝ storyteller… we’re evolving in real time. 🤍
