From the roots of Brazil to Amsterdam 🌎
A centuries-old ritual, crafted for today: social, conscious, energy and focus.
Plant-based • no sugar • no crash. by @join.mati

It all starts with a leaf 🌱

Deep in the South American rainforest, people shared a ritual: chewing on the leaves of yerba mate for natural energy. This leaf became a tradition and it’s the root of Mati. by @join.mati

Our first real fair with our very own Mati stand💚

We’ve visited plenty of trade shows before, but this time we spent two full days on the other side of the stand at @foodinspirationmagazine

So many interesting people, genuinely valuable conversations and new connections. Also, slightly overstimulated after talking to hundreds of people in two days 😂 But SO worth it!

And the funny thing is, the real work starts after the event. Sorting through all those leads, following up and hoping we made a lasting impression🤞

Thanks to everyone who stopped by!

Somehow, we keep creating little pieces of Brazil in Amsterdam🇧🇷💚

And Saturday was definitely one of them. A samba night at The Scene with @sambarootsamsterdam

New faces, familiar faces, samba that makes it impossible to stand still and somewhere in between all of that, a lot of Mati!

This is the part of building Mati we love the most. Not just seeing our cans in people’s hands, but seeing the kind of people and moments they bring us closer to.

Obrigada to everyone who made it feel a little more like Brazil. Até a próxima! 💛

Well… that went fast☀️
One moment we were holding our first cans, the next we were seeing them in people’s hands all over Amsterdam.

Still a bit crazy to think about everything that happened in between.

Our first summer with Mati. Definitely one to remember!
And we are just getting started.

Cafe of the week special edition!! ☕️💛
Two Brazilian icons, one table -> Açaí + Mati🧉🇧🇷

We teamed up with @kyo.klub for the Norte a Sul combo!!😋🇧🇷. Fresh, fruity, and energizing⚡️

Portuguese for "North to South": Açaí comes from the Amazon in the north of Brazil, and mate from the south, where chimarrão is a daily ritual. Two opposite ends of the country, together in one combo 🇧🇷

Now at Kyo Klub, so come try it before everyone else does 👀 And tag the friend you're bringing 👇

Behind Mati #2

One of the questions we get asked the most: how did you two actually start Mati?

The short answer? Two women, zero experience in the drinks industry, a love for Brazil and an idea we couldn’t really let go of😅

The longer answer involves a lot of figuring things out as we go, late-night voice notes, good days, stressful days and discovering there’s a whole world behind making just one little can.

So here it is: the story of how Mati started, why Brazil plays such a big part in it and what we’re actually trying to build. Welcome back to Behind Mati💚

"Sugar-free" doesn't always mean what you think👀

Lots of zero drinks have no sugar, but if you look closely, you can see all the sweeteners that are doing the work instead!

That's a big part of why we started Mati. We wanted something that tastes like the mate we fell in love with. just roasted yerba mate leaves, guarana and a little lemon. No sugar, no sweeteners, just good energy🌿🇧🇷

Swipe to see 3 "zero" myths we hear all the time, and tell us in the comments, did any of them surprise you??💛
