Snakes are one of the most beautiful creatures of all. They are my favorite.
.
.
When we were cruising to the 'paar area' - the territory of iconic tigress Paarwali and also we were told that couple of male tiger are visiting too, may be to mate with Paarwali. There is a nallah one has to cross before approaching and crossing the new bridge made over Ramagnga river - our gypsy driver saab who had laser sharp eyes stopped the vehicle frantically, reversed it and said check this out - 'Rarest of the rare, in my 15 years of experience - this is the second time I got to see, he gave a good look and said 'BURMESE PYTHON' and said had tiny horn like structure over the eyes and those fake fangs just below the eyes.
.
.
.
@abhishekponia and @mansikhera had their sighting of a lifetime. We saw quite some snakes on the trip and only Mansi could stop a tigress.
.
.
.
I was happy clicking birds and tuskers. Well, that's what you say when you don't see a tiger.

Meditating Monkey. (Read Full)
.
Pashupatinath, Kathmandu, Sept 2018
.
.
Well, this is what meditation is. This images right here defines 'Meditation' perfectly. .
.
Our mind is just like a monkey - it is exactly what you think when we hear the word 'Monkey'. Unstable, Chaotic, Jumping, Hyperactive, Wandering, Full of energy and all of those words, emotions, actions that we can think of. .
.
The magic is while being all of these, how do we ensure to tame it to be the way we want it to be. All we have to do is focus on every bit of air we take in and breathe out. While we are doing that, our thoughts will wander and we must let it wander, however, at the same time - convey that, "Hey, roam all you want but you can go after a few seconds", - and bring the thoughts together. .
.
.
The very first time that we would try to meditate, may be we will be able to execute it for a few seconds. But with practice, discipline, determination and dedication - we will be able to take control and then it would go from seconds to minutes and then to hours. This is what it is. :) .
.
.
So start today - Meditation is food for your brain and body mechanics. .
.
.
Thank you so much @shilpapatra ji for your help. She is amazing in structuring and editing content. .
.

What if brands could test their content before going all in? šŸ‘€šŸ“²

Manish Pandey takes our students behind the idea of Trial Reels breaking down how they work, why they matter, and how brands can use them to experiment with different content, understand what resonates with their audience, and make smarter content decisions. šŸŽÆ

Because in the world of content, sometimes the best strategy is to try, test, learn and create again. šŸš€

monkey šŸ’

exact representation of our mind

can you control it: may be

should you control it: it’s a choice

monkey jumps from branch to branch, for food, to mark territory, the human mind jumps from thought to thought seeking for answers, coming opinions, conclusions, think, overthink, dwell in past, worry about the future

both are restless by nature, both chase stimulation without stillness

spiritually, the monkey follows instinct, the human mind follows conditioning

untrained, the mind becomes your master
disciplined, it becomes your servant

stillness is the difference, the monkey cannot find it, it’s not suppose to, that’s not its nature

but, we can, we should try to, there is peace at the other side

Dec 2022, Umred Karhandla Tiger Reserve - tracking tigers was the plan. Rumors of a female with her newborn cubs and the accompanying male had us excited. A habit formed during my forest visits is to gaze into the trees and sky, which often reveals hidden wonders. This time, a juvenile changeable hawk eagle caught my eye. The naturalist’s expert insight and the sun’s dramatic lighting made for a perfect shot. And just as the eagle called out again, the naturalist whispered - the tiger’s approaching. Stay tuned for the thrilling conclusion.

about the ā€˜changeable hawk eagle’:

Dark brown above with white-edged feathers (scaling on coverts), whitish head/underparts streaked/spotted dark brown

Found across India (including peninsular regions like Maharashtra), Sri Lanka, Southeast Asia in woodlands, savannas, gardens up to 2,200m. Prefers semi-open forests, adaptable to degraded habitats; perches in trees scanning for prey

Ambush hunter from perches; diet includes birds (mynas, gamebirds, doves), reptiles (lizards, snakes), mammals (squirrels, hares up to 2.7kg, monkeys)

Caught a glimpse of the Greater Coucal in Versova, Andheri, Mumbai, & couldn't help but admire its beauty.

Urban wildlife thrives on observation & coexistence. These birds were here long before we were; we're the intruders. The males' striking colors are impossible to overlook, a display of nature's splendor.

The male of the nominate race is glossy bluish-black, with a pale greenish grey bill, the iris is crimson, and it has grey legs and feet. Females, meanwhile, are selective and demanding.

Did you know that Coucals hai yeh are brood parasites, laying eggs in other birds' nests?

They're also mainly frugivorous as adults

Photographed way back in the scorching heat of May 2017 in Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve, Chandrapur, the temperature must be around 45 degrees Celsius or more

šŸ— Wild Boar - Varaha (Panjurli): incarnation of the Lord Vishnu, one of the ten principal avatars of Dashavatara

Most of us did enjoy the folklore, beautifully depicted in the movie Kantara 1 and 2 (comment about it, if you did)

Flora & Fauna description:

Wild Boar is not a fancy subject for wildlife photographers; however, they have a very important role for the forest ecosystem.

Wild boars are bulky, massively built suids with short and relatively thin legs. They are one of the widest-ranging mammals in the world and the most widely spreadĀ suiforms.

It has a long history of association withĀ humans, having been the ancestor of mostĀ domestic pigĀ breeds and aĀ big-game animalĀ for millennia.

The wild boar is a highly versatileĀ omnivore, whose diversity in choice of food rivals that ofĀ humans

Hi, it’s me – Black-winged Kite (juvenile edition, duh). Basically a child artist, but make it wild and winged. Serving looks, striking poses, and yes… I can rotate my neck like an owl on Red Bull.
Voice? Melodic.
Eyes? ORANGE with built-in lashes (no falsies here).

Photographed in 2021, thanks to a Panasonic + Lumix lens — we don’t gatekeep the gear.

Swipe for the drama, stay for the talons.

The Black-winged Kite (Elanus caeruleus) is commonly seen in Velavadar National Park, Gujarat, especially in the grassland and scrub areas. These birds prefer open landscapes with scattered trees or shrubs — ideal for hunting rodents, their primary prey. They are often seen hovering in place (ā€œkitingā€), scanning for prey — especially during early morning and late afternoon.

Field mice and rats are their favorite — they make up the bulk of their diet. The kite’s hunting technique (hovering mid-air) is perfectly suited for spotting and swooping down on small mammals in open fields. Lizards, small snakes, large insects and sometimes frogs — especially in warmer seasons when these animals are more active.
